Question for GM guys...

I have an 03 S10 4x4 pickup. It needs the pinion seal replaced in the front axle. My question is am I going to run into a crush sleeve or anything of that nature, or do I just remove the pinion yoke, replace the seal, and retorque the nut? Also, does anyone know what the torque should be? Thanks for any help in advance.

No you will not run into a crush sleave issue, just like you said remove the yolk , pop it off the pinion splines , replace the seal , and rap the nut back on with a impact gun on low setting.

From a perfectionist point of view and by the book you would be throwing away the old pinion nut and reusing with a new nut and then check rolling torque to match.
