Well if some of you may remember i asked around on tips for mods on a truck. 7.3 turbo diesel to be exact, well finally my stuff arrived and i put it on the truck

we got a AFE intake, Silver line 4inch turbo back exhaust, and a Edge Evolution chip. intake was a breeze to install, turbo back was pretty easy except we had to remove the transmission brace to get the piping in and the v band clamp would not come loose it was stuck on big time! lastly the chip we got was sent to us for the wrong application. we have a 2000 Ford f250 7.3 turbo diesel and we got the chip for 05-07 ford f250 6.0. not sure how that happens when the invoice clearly says 00-02 f250 7.3 oh well it happens and heres some pics of the days events.

It'll take a few hundred miles for the ECU to really recognize it, but I'd say 2nd tank of diesel should get her started.

great to hear Scott! the right chip comes in tomorrow just gotta drill for the EGT and then mount the gauge and it will be set.

Looks like you did a turbo back, so you should be able to crank it up. Most people don't understand you can't crank it all the way up with a stock exhaust and intake, the fucking EGT's will be through the roof. Later down the road, I'd look into ATS for tranny work, they're products are amazing. If I'm correct I think the edge has somewhere near 5 settings. I'd go on the 3rd for towing, but without I'd crank it all the way up. We had to turn the boss's Banks 6 gun down during the blizzard. Boost + Nitto Terra Grapplers = Spin bad. The Edge in cab monitor is a life saver, keeps you from running it too hot.

redneck you seem to know a bunch about this! yea we did turbo back because of the EGT's as i read up on the forums that you will need intake, turbo back exhaust before you chip. we went with the evolution because it has the in cab monitor and it monitors boost, EGT, Trans temp and speed. pretty cool if you ask me. btw i got the chip in and it really woke the truck up its amazing! the evo has 4 settings, 0 stock, 1 tow, 2 race 3 extreme so were leaving it on tow pretty much full time. redneck if i never need help im going to you! lol
