Tractor
Find the closest one and then go from there. Rates will be determined by type of rock, distance to your place, and number of tons. Usually you need over 15 tons for a real price break. I used National gravel over in Delaware last year when I had 480 tons hauled for my driveway. Twistedrx7
#57 limestone will work well. if you want something bigger you can do some #304. I would stick to the #57. Mr. Mulch on 161. They are kind of by you. http://www.mrmulch.com/shop-gravel-bulk-57.shtml

Twistedrx7
your going to need more than 1.5 tons to do a normal sized driveway. normal drive 20-30 feet by 10 feet wide = 300 sqft 2-3 inches of gravel down = 3 tons
Twistedrx7
I also wanted to give you a place to look at an actual picture and calculate the amount of gravel you are going to need.
Clifford Automotive
How much did 480 tons cost you if you dont mind. I have to redo my driveway. Driveway to the barn 25x25 area in front of the barn. And I need 12 yard for the patio im putting in .
Tractor
A little more than $7000 for the gravel and I had to rent a bob cat for a couple days to move it around since the ground was to soft for the semis to spread about 40% of it. I had to use #4's for now. If I ever get around to it I'll put #57 or 304 on top of it now that the road is nice and hard. That Mr Mulch site is great for gravel information and has a calculator like the man said. I'm doing the same thing in a couple months. Gravel road over to barn all that. Can't wait, lots of fun running a bobcat all day. Evan
Twistedrx7
good site, just not so great on the price. If you really need a lot you can always call national lime and stone and get semi loads from them. Hell of a lot cheaper.
Akula
Jones subcontracts on smaller jobs that aren't slinger. I just got 411 from them, cheap and fast. I like them but don't make out the check when you order it, it will be someone else.
