TheHaze
How much did both GTX's cost? I have one 9800 GX2 and nothing has bogged it. Your setup sounds pretty sweet, though I feel 24" widescreen is the very minimum..
Tshensley
Right now I would be going with a crossfire setup with 2 4870's

Both GTX's were 559.98 OTD and i am in utter love with it.I plan on going bigger on the monitor when i have money and running 2 monitors. The last card i had was an ATI and i was impressed but i wanted a change to see what all the hype was about, all my friends have NForce cards. Rally Pat
ATi, especially after teaming with a just-lost-our-steam AMD, have sort of gone downhill in the past few years.
TheHaze
ATi, especially after teaming with a just-lost-our-steam AMD, have sort of gone downhill in the past few years. +1. I try not to side with part manufacturers anymore, but Nvidia has gotten my money on the past 4 cards I've had.

I definitely try not to be a fanboy, but for a few years (like 2001-2005ish) I was really hardcore ATi/AMD, but my last few cards have been nVidia products, most recently my 8800GTS. stealthmonkey
. How are flight simulators i have always wanted to try one but have never bought the program and joysticks Well flight simulator X from microsoft is awesome. bad thing is it is so beefy there is no video card out there yet to take full advantage of it. But if you want to just fly around i would recommend picking it up. I am looking to get a new combat flight simulator for it. I have just purchased the flight yoke, and rudder pedal controls to start my flight training with it. So I am pretty hyped for when that gets here. TheHaze
Age of Conan will test your rig pretty well. It looks GORGEOUS on highest settings. Also, pretty much everyone in this thread should get a steering wheel, shifter and the game called "rFactor". It's a racing simulation and you can't beat me. lolz

There is currently a major flaw in the game engine causing this. You can watch your system resources dwindle the longer you play it. But on max settings AoC might make the computer flex a lil bit. But i can run AoC pretty well on OP's last computer with little problem. (just a lil bit more ram)

It really only affects me if I zone a lot because it doesn't renew the system resources. The same problem occurred with Anarchy Online, made by the same company. I think they might actually be using the same game engine only much, much more refined and beefed up.
