got a new car.

Well my dad did anyway lol its more a project car we are gonna be working on, but still pretty nice. Its a 1984 mustang GT with 302 bored to a 306. Not quite sure what all is done to it, as the last owner bought it the way it is without asking any questions. We do know it has after market heads, a nice sized cam and a holley carb, but thats about it. Its supposed to be good for mid to low 12's as is, but currently has no 2nd gear, and a bad clutch.

 

plans for it so far are a new carb, auto tranny and some body work with a new paint job this winter along with some other random stuff.

Reminds me of my college roommate's car back in the day. His was bored out and modded pretty good too. I can remember him hanging the tail out around a few nice twisty roads around town

Already has the updated rear quarter windows even. Swap that front to a 87-93 style and it will look sweeeeet.

and a little off topic, i know its a long shot, but does anyone by chance happen to know anyone that owns a black lifted, id guess early 2000 ish dodge ram? from what i could tell it had a huge lift, cear front turn signals, and i think those euro tail lamps. Because my mom, dad and i were all on our way back from night of thunder at trails a little bit ago and it was kinda parked off the side of main street just outside of kirkersville, but ended up blowing past us a short time later, then when i get back to my neiborhood, he was there and drove past us, then turned around and drove past my house.

if you change front ends your an idiot....im thinking about converting my 88 to the 4 headlight front clip the four eyed cars look so much better

I see where you PM'd me.Yes I owned the car since 1994 and just sold it last fall.It is a great car and ran a best of 13.37 in 1/4 and 8.20's in 1/8.I will tell ya wht all it had later this evening when I get a chance.But I know if you get the tranny right and play with the suspension it will run in the 12's
