I've got a place in R-Burg to get shit sand blasted, but that's a drive. I'd kind of like to clean my $500 motor up, but I don't know if I want to waste the effort or not... I guess I should since it may end up being in the car a while. I'll be pulling the intake, intercooler, valve covers and whatever else I feel like when I get off tonight. Yes, it will have a cutout, but the only time it will be open will probably be Goodguys to get attention from the exhaust side whistle. I'm actually pretty pissed about the downpipe I bought if you can't tell from the previous post. I wasn't happy with it when I bought it - for $500, I would think it would come with hardware to mount it to the turbo, it wouldn't have an exhaust leak at the turbo, the test pipe (aka cutout that replaces the cat) would slide over the downpipe without issue, and the wastegate puck would move freely. None of those were true. I won't even get into the finish of it after less than 1,000 miles flaking. It's seriously bad enough that if I do sell it, I won't expect much out of it.
