Car is a Pearl white 2008.5 Mazdaspeed3. everything is completely stock and will probably remain so with exception of a new BOV and CAI kit for the car. TTQ B4U Posted March 6, 2009 Report Share Posted March 6, 2009 A top mount with no hood scoop, or is that what the weird plastic thing under the hood is for? no scoop needed...the front intake is in the top portion of the grill and forms a ram-air style flow that is sealed down on the black thing...which is the shroud over the intercooler. They even have a vent running to the battery to keep it cool as it's not far from the turbo. you can see both in the second last pic. the 2010's will get a hood scoop. it's a good look, sort of like the new WRX/STi, but with the smile of an RX8 Well i finally got around to taking pics of my new DD even thought some of you guys have seen it.
