evan9381 Posted March 13, 2009 Report Share Posted March 13, 2009 just to clarify, this is no where as easy as he makes it to seem g/fs dad went on disability a couple years ago...being that he had nothing but time, he went out and got all the shit to do this. the cashier actually missed the scan on the dvd burner, so he got it all pretty cheap we probably spent 2 hours trying to follow that. soldering those pin's is f-n hard. getting the laser eye out wasnt easy either we finally just said fuck it and cut his losses at ~30 bucks or whatever it was. It is a simple process, but I wouldn't rate it simple for someone who isn't very familiar with the shown tools. I work on that type of equipment daily so no biggie. I was actually gonna make a longer lived version to try to use as a laser welder at work.
