Stampede
I'll be putting my engine back together soon, and I need a good one, but one that won't break the bank. Thanks.

wnaplay1647545503
Borrowing one usually doesnt break the bank.
Guest Hal
KD Tools makes the torque wrenches for Mac, Matco, Cornwell, and Craftsman. You can't go wrong with any of those brands IMO. Go buy one from Sears, you'll be happy.
Brandon
Snap on But its going to cost you a few dollars!
Evolved8
i like the click style over digital. I have used the dig. snap on and had better results with the click style. Personal pref. though.
Aesthetic_Influx
Love my Craftsman "click style" - couldn't tell you which model, but it's lasted for years without the slightest issue. And it could probably take someone out. Double-duty for the win.
Guest Hal
Snap on But its going to cost you a few dollars! Snap On wrenches are made by CDI, a ridiculously over priced company. They have a lot less experience in the torque wrench game than KD too. The only reason I have been able to figure for their use of CDI is, they own CDI. Ramsey
I was just doing research on them. I did not like the craftsmen because it felt cheap and the reviews said it would break. So i craigslisted a mac all metal click style for 70 bucks.
XChris1632X
There was just a thread about this I believe, but I would steer anyone away from the craftsman. I personally had one break within the first 3 times I used it. If you cant borrow one and its worth buying anyways I would say Snappy. Personal preference though. You could even call any truck and pick up a used one that has been freshly calibrated for 1/2 the price. If you want I can give you the number to my Snap On guy and he will take care of you. Guest Hal
Its a handtool isnt it free for life if it breaks? Every torque wrench I've seen that has a real warranty, has a 1 year repair warranty.
Comebackkid
I used a harbor freight special because I couldn't find my dads mac torque wrench. Then I found it and double checked the harbor freight one and it was dead on
