need opinion on truck

now ive been looking for a bit and am thinkingthat i want an avalanche as a tow/daily/family truck. so i am looking for pros and cons be teuthful hit me with it

on boss had one and towed a boat with it..i swear i rebuilt the rear end in that thing almost every year

I think more of the "upscale" version's the plastic's were paint matched. I saw a newer one that was all black, it didnt look half bad but the older version with all the grey plastic looks fucking ugly.

I have had several trucks with 8' beds and I hated them. Primarily I hated the look of the longer bed. With theshort bed trucks I have had, If I needed them longer I just used a 8' long piece of plywood screwed down and bam 8'bed.

All of the write-ups I've seen on them have been great. I hate Consumer Reports but it's one of the few GM products that gets their backing. Everyone that I know that has one, loves it. We've got one at our lot now that is just a base model and it's still pretty nice.

If its the new body style, get it, they are hot. Old plastic bodystyle not so much. They are very useful though. Hard tonneau, good. Side storage, very good. Using side storage filled with ice as a beer cooler, Awesome.
