Aaron
I have been toying with the idea of trading my GTI front for a Rabbit front. Everything is a direct bolt on, and I will retain my fog lights. However I am hesitent to do so for some reason. I really like both fronts. Here is a picture of my car stock: http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt197/mkvaaron/JHB_7688.jpg This are 2 of my favorite GTIs: http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt197/mkvaaron/ugkeskingti.jpg http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt197/mkvaaron/ugkeskingti2.jpg http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt197/mkvaaron/ugkeskingti3.jpg http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt197/mkvaaron/redvotexgti.jpg http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt197/mkvaaron/redvotex.jpg Here are some of my favorite Rabbits: Minus the eyelids http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt197/mkvaaron/rabbitwithvotexandhelios.jpg http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt197/mkvaaron/blackrabbitwithvotexandrs4s.jpg http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/tt197/mkvaaron/ugrabbitwithfogs.jpg So which look do you guys like the best? I love both, and can't decide what to do. The swap is FREE so that is not an issue. Just looking for what front end style you guys think looks the best. Thanks. Cordell
Doesn't look like enough of a difference to put in the effort to me. You VW guys are silly no one will notice but another VW guy.
spankis
I think I like the rabbit front better, but as has been said that's a lot of work for such a tiny change.

Crossle
It looks to me like it will change the stance the car has or the attitude in the front. Looks like the rabbit nose is closer to the ground. For a clean look that you guys are known for i think it would be neat. I like stuff like this which is why i enjoy watching what you guys do to your car. Sort of like the GLI swap on the older gens. I like the Rabbit front end better. 2 Sweet
If I had to pick one, I'd say the Rabbit front end looks better, except for those bumpy things underneath the headlights

I think the rabbit is a softer, more traditional euro Golf look where as the gti is more aggressive. All of the cars shown have some sort of suspension which is really what makes them all look good. The Grey GTI is stock US, the red GTI has a optional front lip, and all 3 rabbits have the optional front lip. It makes them look closer to the ground. **on the red car, not so much some of the other ones What?
Fubar231
Im sorry but i cant really tell a difference i any of these fucking pictures without SERIOUSLY staring at them (looked at them for about 3 mins total and didnt notice shit)
Crossle
The red rabbit has the lip painted red like the car. i am not a fan of two tone cars/panels in that way (like the grey/black). the grill looks good black, but the lip is color matched. The G33Kdub plate car has a completely different grill I do not like the all black look Thats what i was getting at sort of. I find that most European cars I look at and really are appealing top my eye are the ones with a simple lip on the front/rear bumper and thats it. Yeah, all 3 rabbits have the same Votex front spoiler color matched. The Red GTI has the Votex spoiler as well, and the grey gti is stock with the black plastic front/rear/sides. I agree that the color matched votex lips on both the GTI and the Rabbit look the best. Just can't decide which of those 2 I like the best lol. BIGGU
its your call really, There really looks like there is not much change over the bumper but if you like it thats really all that matters.
CRed05
GTI front end looks way better.
iwashmycar
if your car actually had some mods done...being rims/drop then maybe. BUT since its stock from what i can tell then its going to look like a rabbit w GTI wheels...lame so wait till later...then decide AND whats the lip on the rabbit one? they don't come with that usually do they? Aaron
The Rabbits all have the optional Votex body kit which is a factory option. All of my mods will begin next year. My goal is by next winter to have R32 front brakes, coilovers and throw some winter tires on the stock wheels. Then buy the wheels pictured on the Red GTI for my summer wheels. I think I am leaning towards keeping the stock GTI front.
SRTurbo04
what about this front end? its simple but suttel an doesnt look liek ass liek the rabbit :bangbang:q http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/resources/images/972992/?type=display doesnt look liek ass liek the rabbit
Farkas
There's really not much difference, but I do like how the rub strips are more prominent on the Rabbit front end. Personally, this call I'm going to say keep the stock front end.. Normally I would say do the swap because it's awesome to have something unique noone sees, but there's really not enough difference to go through the trouble. I didn't even notice the Rabbit and GTI front ends were different until you pointed them out in this thread. I just figured the Rabbit was a lower basemodel of the GTI..
