i was asked at one of the last autocrosses if i would be intrested in driving in the 24 hour of lemons this october at nelson ledges. so after thinking about it and trying to come up with my part of the driver fees i'll be able to pull it off somehow.

 

www.24hoursoflemons.com has pictures and info. pretty much its a $500 car that 4-6 drivers race for 24 hours. the winner gets a big bag of nickles. the team will be driving a 85' surpra. i'm pretty excited about it, never raced any wheel to wheel stuff before in a car.:D

Lol. Look forward to meeting you AJ. Get your ass up to neils when you can to help with the car :) Next work day is already posted on TA whenever you get on there. I'm not driving, just helping where I can.

 

Everyone else, these look like on of the most fun racing events that there are right now and it's only an hour and a half away. Come up to NL and have some fun!

My wife and best friend both want to go to the race this year, and we were talking about perhaps entering a car next year. 4 people total, maybe $500/each....that's not hard to come up with at all!

 

And $500 for the car, and money for safety gear (not included in the $500).

 

It adds up fast, and you better have 'racing' experience (drag racing doesn't count in this case) or you will be scared shitless. The have over 100 cars entered into the race up at NL. :eek:

Could you use one more old but experienced crew member? (maybe a driver?) Over 30 years experience in endurance racing (IMSA / Escort-Playboy Series / Longest Day). I'm getting ready to go up and crew for the 12 hour in a couple of weeks, but wanted to do a Lemons race with someone else before I prepare my own car.

 

BTW - 100 cars to start???? I remember near pandemonium when we were starting 50-55 back at the height of Longest Day. That's a lot of cars on a two mile track - although I would guess it thins out rather quickly!!!

 

Anyway, shoot me a PM if you could use some help, I also have two additional "seasoned" crew people I could bring.

i think trouble maker would know more about the need for a crew than i would, might want to PM him as he knows more about whats going on with the team at this point than i do.

 

I'm just the hired help... that doesn't get paid. He will want to get on TrackAddicts.net and talk to the guys who are more officially involved. There is a subforum for it on there, should be obvious who to talk to. AFAIK you were the 5th, so there is room for a 6th.
