944s2
STAY THE FUCK OUT OF THE ROAD!!!!!!! they have a bike lane or sidewalk for a reason. Yeah your a fucking idiot, Bike lane is one thing but think about the consequences of riding on the sidewalk at speeds of 20 mph+... 1. I have to avoid people walking and scare the shit out of them. 2. I have to either stop at every intersection, and/or take the chance of a car turning onto a side street and fucking t-boning me into the pavement. There are a few idiot riders that don't obey the law on the street but it's much safer for all of us if we ride there. I am going with traffic at 20 mph so on a 35 mph road you are only approaching me at 15 mph. Most of the time when I ride in the city (everyday occurrence on the way to work) I hang with the traffic anyway. They pass all pissed off and get caught at the red light just in time for me to pass them sitting there at the red light and catch it as it goes green. It's a 4 lane road for a reason, slower traffic to the right.
944s2
Any fellow TOSRV riders? Id love to meet up and do a ride here in the fall or sooner... best time to ride! Started TOSRV when I was 8 rode it on a Tandem with my dad and did it solo when I was 14. Had to quit when I was 18 due to my job and have not done it since. Although I still do century's I have since to do a double. Idk how many times you have done it but back when I started it truly had 5000+ riders and some of the draft lines were 50+ bikes long, it was the coolest thing to be in. That caused a lot of nasty accidents though. Do the fucking 18 wheelers still get stuck on that road trying to take a shortcut? I remember they could never get around all the bikes on some of the back roads. Man I really wanna do it again but I def don't miss the weather.... my first year it rained all day Sat and headwinds on the way back Sun, it was sooo bad. Mallard
I usually do the rails to trails too. Just sold my Cannondale R-500 and picked up a Giant FCR2 (hybrid bike) Its much more comfortable than the road bike and just as fast Damn, that's what I need to do. I haven't ridden my bike in a long time because I live on a bumpy road and I can't stand how stiff the bike is. However, there are over 40 miles of trails in my area and part of the trail runs behind my sub. They're still expanding the trail system and it's going to have over 70 miles when it's done. I have an older Cannondale. I did some searching and I think it's a mid-90's R500. I think that's the only one that came with a fully polished frame. SpaceGhost
Yep I bought a hybrid bike this summer too, the wife and I each got 2009 Navigator 2.0 from Trek. They are super comfortable and I usually do a 10 mile or more ride on the Westerville bike paths a couple of times a week to take my daughter to playgrounds. http://www.trekbikes.com/images/bikes/2009/large/navigator20_black.jpg+http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41M424PAHNL._SS500_.jpg+http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31Hd5YYpiAL._SS500_.jpg

The bike I have has the carbon forks, which made a noticable difference on hand fatigue. Also, I got the wide palm grips which helped alot too. I almost converted my cannondale to a flatbar bike. But by the time I changed the stem, shifters, brake levers etc I was better off just getting a new one.

Then they almost shit when i tell them how much it will cost.
