TTQ B4U
but in less than 13yrs, if a 16yr old comes close to touching my baby girl, I'm kicking his ass. Picked up my daughter from school a few hours early to begin taking my annual fall time pics. Meet Sophia. Growing up fast, it's hard to believe she's 3 1/2yrs old alread. My son is next. Stay tuned ladies......he has killer blue eyes. Pic whore time. Thanks to Sears Tuttle Mall for selling me these wonderful old back drops. What's old to them is new to me For the photo buffs the specs are: Canon EOS 40D 24-70L f/2.8 lens Home made home depot lighting kit with white umbrellas. Yes.....ghetto style http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/117294771/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/timothylauro/image/117294770/original.jpg

Tractor
Very nice lighting, especially for a home depot setup. Only technical problem would be to have a higher key to fill ratio which I found hard to do with anything except the settings on flashes. Those shots look great the way you got it though. The umbrellas really softened that light nicely.

Alien Bee's have some good stuff for the price, but I sold the set I had for my portable set up to my brother in law using that money towards my 800mm "canon" I do mainly action events so having a 1,200mm reach with a nice L-lens goes nicely for me. 800mm/cheap....irony isn't it.... For those that don't know what an 800mm lens looks like....here's my 800mm on my 1D-MKII in the hands of a buddy. Trusted hands given the camera and lens are worth nearly $11k Size matters http://i541.photobucket.com/albums/gg378/pdqgp/800mm.jpg I can't wait to shoot some racing events with this baby. I can shoot the baseball games in the field behind my house from my deck

ShankroidBeast
Very adorable pictures!! My daughter just started high school and is not quite 15. The first week a junior on the varsety football team asked her for her number. Thankfully she is still kind of scared of boys, but she is very pretty and will no doubt be taken to the dark side sooner of later. I have a shovel and a 100lb bag of lime just in case I need to take out the trash ;-) Here is a pic of my pride and joy. http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs047.snc1/2841_77356949307_599269307_1554584_6140367_n.jpg
ImUrOBGYN
My daughter turned 15 this August and is a freshman in HS, now. Holy shit, I'm old. Holy shit, she's getting old. I hope I can handle it all properly. Luckily, I feel I've been a good judge of character and that will carry over to any boyfriends she acquires. She has a good head on her shoulders, but who knows. I vaguely remember what it's like to be that age. Oh, and... http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k58/ImUrOBGYN/PedoSnatch.jpg

TTQ B4U
The 800mm lens, a 2mile restraining order isnt shit. Got that right. Actually on the 40D, it becomes a 1,200mm lens. I frame the face of a driver on a race track through a fence from the mid level seats :bangbang:
Mitch
I've got the disorder that photgraphers call lens lust. Have you done any bird shots with that monster?
Clifford Automotive
Nice shots Tim. Did they have anything else for sale? I almost walked out of Cord Camera the other day with a $140 Muslin for $12. I knew they'd catch it. At 7 (2 years ago) we had 2 16 year old boys ask if she wanted to sit with them while they at lunch at the pizza place... I asked her who the boys were she said she wasn't sure. I told the boys to leave her alone, because she didnt know them. She's a big flirt now, I will hate the day when she turns 16 and starts asking for a license... http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u298/pimpjettay2k/5x7-1.jpg

Doesn't work. My father in law tried similar tactics. All I know is my daughter will be 2 in only 2 months and i'm already dreading this shit. Tractor
Dude I wanna see what some astro photos look like through that lens. Bring it up to my observatory. Seriously its funny that people use 1200mm for sports, My telescope with a 40% reducer is 1300mm. In stock config its 2032mm so at about 1 mile I can fill the field of view of my 40D with an outdoor light bulb.

unfunnyryan
When I was a senior last year, there were kids I knew (who were also seniors) who were taking my friends 8th grade sister out to movies. I never want a daughter as things will probably just get worse.
