I bet like 3 filthy rich people moved in and skewed the whole thing, lol.

Do you know the difference between the median and the mean and why they use the median for this type of stat?

EDIT:

The mean is the average. So if three filthy rich people moved in then the mean would go up, but it would do little to effect the median. They are stating the median in that article. The median is what the 50-th percentile makes, or what the middle person out of all of the people makes. This is closer to being what an 'average' person makes when you take into consideration that the income distribution curve is not 'even'. Even would imply as many people below and above the median, technical term is a Normal Distribution Curve.

Normal is something like this http://www.tushar-mehta.com/excel/charts/normal_distribution/images/normal2.gif

With this curve the median (middle) and the mean (average) would be the same.

Thanks man. I didn't know that because I am fucking retarded. Good thing you're here to help me out or else who knows what I would do. Oh, that's right -- this place would still be cool and one could make a joke without some uppity douche commenting on it.

Well when your joke's not based in reality like your false image of yourself being anything resembling cool then it's not funny.

I was just trying to inform you, sorry for trying to teach you something. Guess you can just go around not knowing shit about shit and be happy with your unfunny jokes.

Good...I will be listing a home for sale in a few weeks - hopefully it will sell due to all the money floating around!

Why do I find it hard to believe that 50% of the people in delaware county make over 88K a year? Most importantly, why am I not part of that half?

Damn baby boomers

Household income. Two people making 44k each = 88k.

Here's one with all of the county's. Guess Franklin is only $51k.

It would be interesting to see the breakdown by suburb and city proper.
