Beat them hard and make them hang on until they finally give up from exhaustion. Then we mix in a few stray dogs and let them have at them too. Does wonders for the chewing of things in the house and rids the neighbor hood of other dogs, cats and unwanted punks too. I can't seem to find a single toy that my dog won't destroy in short notice. Seems like years ago when I had Pits that there were better heavy duty toys--or maybe I am just not educated enough yet. Note: My dog isn't the least bit destructive to anything other than his toys. I have this same problem. I'm always on the lookout. These usually last a month or two at least, whereas other chew toys don't make it a week usually. The material also doesn't absorb slobber like a lot of things. It's basically a tennis ball wrapped in stitched nylon, with a squeaker thing stitched above that.... Titan will destroy those. http://www.kongcompany.com/worlds_best.html The Kongs are pretty awesome. This is the only toy we have found that was practically indestructable. The older versions had a hole in the center you could put treats in. It is the only toy my uncles English bulldog could not destroy. My mom bought one for her chocolate lab and it is the only thing she cant destroy. They make them in quite a few different sizes as well. I buy the biggest heavy duty black kongs. Depending on this mood, my gf and I have seen him shred one into bite size pieces within 10 minutes. Then again, he keeps our trees trimmed, as well. I've seen him rip a good 2in diameter fresh branch right off of trees. I've had good luck with rope toys lately. They still destroy them, but it takes a lot longer. My dogs go through the "tough toys" in under an hour. Edit: Like posted above, the Kong toys are great too. Rope toys don't work, either. All 3 dogs are able to slice thru it and now there's rope pieces all over the floor and coming out of their butts later. I agree...Kongs are good, I really like the Kong Wubbas as a fun toy that is pretty tough. It's a Kong covered in nylon basically. That's my #1 pick. Also, it will totally gross you out at what they are, but check out bully sticks. Good for chewing for long periods of time but not really a toy I guess (just more of a distraction I suppose, good for puppies)... But you never know with the so-called "indestructible toys". My dog at 7 years old will gnaw through any toy within seconds if she really wants to. I guess it just depends on their determination! Good luck May have to check out a couple of those. Well, I found a couple good suggestions in here. I do go thru alot of tennis balls because they are cheap. YOu do have to watch what kind you buy as some are not good for your dogs. I buy real tennis balls as the ones you buy for dogs specifically are ususally crumbly shit. I buy Penn Championship heavy duty. Of course, each one only lasts for one quick sitting, but he seems satisified after tearing it up. And no weird black shit or anything inside the balls, either. I cannot give the rawhide because he bites large chunks of it and tries to swallow them whole. I've had a WHOLE LOT of dogs and various breeds/sizes. And much larger than my current, but nothing compares to his jaw strength. I've thought about the toys/balls they give large cats and bears in zoos/captivity. I did find a large ball awhile back online I thought might do the trick, but 9i never got around to ordering it. I'll have to see if I saved the page somewhere. Maybe, I can borrow Tim's boxers. My male has the ability to break his own teeth with a bite (he's proven this) so I've been pretty hesitant.
