Linn1647545492
double sided tape under the side molding? After two hours of struggling and blisters on both of my thumbs I gave up for the day. I was using Goo Gone but it didn't really seem to help much. evan9381
on like a door? i got some stuff from a buddy of mine who details high end cars (ferraris, bentleys, porsche, audi, landrover, etc) i think the brand is "car brite" and its just an adhesive label remover. the can i have is probably 5 years old and i just used some last week to remove the double sided sticky tape i used to seal up my house windows for the winter and it came right off if you have a microfiber cloth and you want to stop by and try it, ive still got about 1/2 can left

2 Sweet
Try heating it up with a hair dryer or something before you scrub it off, it makes it a lot easier

SPL_Josh
They make a tool to go in a dremel. My buddy has a vodyship and removed his denali and Yukon emblems that way.
KillJoy
I have always had good luck soaking in WD-40, then using cotton towel / rag. Good Luck! KillJoy
V8 Beast
When I did mine I used goo gone and my fingernails. Suck it up Linn I used the hairdryer method too. Worked pretty good.
2 Sweet
When I removed mine, after heating it up with a hair dryer all I needed was my thumb and a library card and it all came off. Whatever residue is left afterward comes off with goo gone or a rubbing compound
Linn1647545492
When I did mine I used goo gone and my fingernails. Suck it up Linn HAHAHAHA, thanks. It's weird because there is two different types of tape. The white tape came off but the gray tape doesn't want to move.
koolrayz
Try PB blaster, It also works great for removing rubber from the rear quarters.
Linn1647545492
Try PB blaster, It also works great for removing rubber from the rear quarters. I was scared to try that on the paint. I have a can sitting in the garage I might try that tomorrow with some heat.
BradyPPC
You need to pick up a pinstripe removal wheel. We get ours from Matco but I have bought them from Napa before as well. You chuck it in a drill and it will remove all of the tape and absolutely will not harm the paint.

Do you drive the red and black truck that says pickup plus cars?
Guest 614Streets
heat gun on low setting and a plastic razor blade works great for this. but the pinstripe wheel is a good idea.

If it's in the sunlight warming up it tends to smear. I completely debadged my old silverado with just one wheel and still have 3/4 of it left. mrs.cos
Fingernails GooGone and a Blowdryer was what we used, and a lot of elbow grease You need to pick up a pinstripe removal wheel. BradyPPC
Thanks Brady, I will stop at Napa tomorrow. Do you drive the red and black truck that says pickup plus cars? No. I drive a charcoal and black F150 with our logo's on the back window. We also have a red/black Sierra and a red/black Avalanche that are company trucks and one of our guys has a red/black F150 lettered up as well. nurkvinny
I see it mentioned already, but the removal wheel + drill = cake. I've done what you're doing 10 times with WD-40, shop towels, and thumbs also.
TTQ B4U
any kind of solvent like thinner or even gas. I use a microfiber towel and gas to remove tar and goop all the time. when I debadge my Van and the MS3, the side moldings came off really easy after letting them sit in the sunlight outside. what was left wiped right off with a little dab on a rag. won't harm your paint at all. 1veryfastvr4
eraser wheel is the best method ive ever tried.... as stated napa or any tool guy prob carries them on the trucks.... i use a 3m one.....
Clifford Automotive
You chuck it in a drill and it will remove all of the tape and absolutely will not harm the paint. If he doesn't rush it. I've used them plenty of times, they work well, smell like shit. And I have resorted back to pulling the molding, heating up the left over tape and rolling it off with my fingers. BradyPPC
If he doesn't rush it. Good point. You dont need to go fast for it to work. Going fast can create heat which can damage stuff but if you take your time and go slow, you will be fine.
boosted98gst
I did this to my 240, it left that nasty sticky stuff all over. I tryed using that goo gone and elbow power with no luck. someone on here told me to try and use the 3m remover and some heat, stuff ate it off like no other.
