Its got alot of power, feels faster then the g8's were. I think its on a zeta platform just like the gto's and g8"s. The interiors alot better and i like the body styling alot. Im sure this time next year were going to see these things everywhere.

Ill get more pics up here soon.

Those are looking pretty good. Seems like an awful lot of power for joe-policeman and Tashi-cab driver though. Hopefully they trickle into the regular market before not too long. And with a manual!

There will NOT be a public or taxi version, other than the one dealership that already figured out a loophole in the sales contract to sell a FEW. Police fleet use only, and it'll be at least a couple years before any of them come up for sale.

If the demand comes they'll sell it to anyone, I wouldn't count it out.

According to what ive read, GM already approved a public version about 2 months ago...they just wont release details yet

hate to say it guys but the police cant use those as a patrol car. A under cover/ detective car no problem. The issue with those is they need to be auto stick on the shifter column that way the center console is free for the radio equipment and the DVR systems. Due to that I cant see it being used as a patrol car. plus on top of that it doesent look like there is room for the laptop to mount to on the passenger side.

I read something about how they closed the loop hole shortly after they found out the dealer was selling them to the public, but I hope I'm wrong.

Isn't this the G8 mirror overseas released as a Caprice. Pretty sure it's the same car they've just tweaked it a little for US market....

*EDIT*

Yep... http://ae-en.chevroletarabia.com/vehicles/view_all_vehicles/cars/caprice_family/index.html

Close. The G8 was based off the Commodore, this is based off another model thats about 18" longer. Can't remember its name right now.
