I ask because I read a lot of negative stuff online, but positive from people that actually own them. My time with it is limited but it grouped fine for me after I adjusted the red dot sight. There is a half inch peice of plastic over the dust cover for protection Im guessing, and the trigger is crisp and consistent. Mine didn't have anything on the dust cover, but I used a cut-up shoe pad and some double sided tape to add some cushioning. If the CAI works well, leave it alone and enjoy! The plastic cheek piece on yours is really a nice feature. On the Norinco, you place your cheek right on the dust cover which really isn't comforting. I've seen dustcovers blown off of AKMs before and you certainly wouldn't want your face there! Have you shot it one handed, yet? Because most of the weight is behind your grip, it's not too difficult to just pull the rifle into your shoulder and shoot with just your right hand. I'll just use it and not get ahead of myself. I'll have to give the one hand shot a try. The fore hand is really only there from habit, its not holding any weight... should be pretty easy.
