dakotart
Anyone else spend hours walking miles in the woods to find deer sheds? A buddy found one last week. I found this pair today. The brow tine is broken off the right one. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y11/junkaddress000/DeerShed2012-02-26.jpg

RedRocket1647545505
Nope. I prefer to find them while they're still on the animal.

dakotart
I prefer looking for antlers still attached to deer. Well I do to, but I hit a branch when I shot at a 10 pointer. There was also a branch in the way on an 8 pointer that had about a 20 inch spread.
wnaplay1647545503
There is a small piece of land in between rosehill road and a small creek here next to the house. We walked it for a few minutes last year and found 3 full skulls with antlers. Surprising here in Reynoldsburg.
XChris1632X
There is a small piece of land in between rosehill road and a small creek here next to the house. We walked it for a few minutes last year and found 3 full skulls with antlers. Surprising here in Reynoldsburg. I'm not at all suprised. I grew up with it but looking back it, its almost weird. It almost sounds like you live right around my grandparents. They live live off of rosehill and prior and their house sits on the creek. They have deer behind the house all the time. Infact just last week, my grandma got scared because they were on the street corner and in her way when she was trying to walk back to the house. Do you live in that area? wnaplay1647545503
I live off rosehill as well just up from prior. I seen 13 deer running across the road 2 days ago. I know there are alot in this area.
Tractor
I gotten them in my yard on a few occasions when my neighbors had a cattle fence boarding us. I suspect they used to fall off when they jumped the fence. They weren't usually found near the fence which would suggest rubbing or getting tangled, rather about 50 yards away in the middle of my yard. One I have in my garage in nice shape, and others get found when I'm mowing.
LPFSTheFett
I prefer looking for antlers still attached to deer. +1 I plan on getting out sometime this week. I've never found a shed. Of course, I can't find a rabbit I just shot half the time. lol The woods are not not my friend when it comes to finding things.

RyM3rC
I'll find a set or two every couple years in the woods. Friends and family like to chop them and give the to the dogs, but my poochy doesn't give a shit about them.

They sell them at The Anderson's as dog chews. Like $20 for a small piece too. Crazy.
