the pictures pretty much speak for themselves. 2013 grabber blue, performance pack, recaros, sync navigation/entertainment, glass roof, car cover. put about 60 miles on the car today--all of which was with my 3 year old in the back, so no crazy stuff. got my first kill though--on the way home my wife was in the cts-v, and apparently wanted some. didn't end well for her. :fa: haven't tried the launch control, and apparently there are several steering settings, and a bunch of other electronic shit. :lolguy:

as far as mods go, i've had them sitting in my garage for about a month :lolguy:

 

cold air intake, cobrajet throttle body, colder plugs, john lund tune, off-road x-pipe, short throw shifter. gonna get another set of wheels with sticky tires. i'm holding off on a pulley for a little while. not sure why i decided to pay for a 6 year powertrain warranty??

thanks guys. definitely going to make this car more of a 'driver' compared to the cobra i owned, and only drove 19k miles in 8 years. no intentions to mod this car beyond the state of what i consider comfortable/safe/reliable to drive long distances--at least that's what i told the wife.

Nice pick-up! I keep looking at them, just can't decide on getting another Mustang. Looking forward to your thoughts on the car and what kind of times you run.

 

Did you hold out for below MSRP or lock in a MSRP order deal?

 

i ordered the car in june, and have been lucky to get it this quick. i've heard horror stories on svtperformance.com. my local stealership wanted $2500 over msrp. a couple others wanted $5-10k over :dumb::dumb:

 

i found a dealer 30 minutes away in green bay that agreed to msrp with $2500 down. at this point, msrp is a pretty good deal and i wanted the car asap so i could enjoy it before the weather turns to shit here. the transaction/experience could not have gone smoother.

I forgot to ask Kirk, are you looking at the 2013 Viper any or not interested?

 

my wife doesn't like vipers, but at some point i would definitely own one. i honestly contemplated getting a new GTR, but in the end, just had to get this car because of what it is, and the ridiculousness of a car that can easily make 680-700rwhp and as much torque, with the mods i listed above. not saying i won't get a GTR at some point in the future though.

i feel sorry for anyone who bought a 2012. looks like they are selling -$20k, new on ebay

 

lol. honestly, a lot of the '11-12 owners are probably pissed. plenty of them bickering that they have the same tvs blower upgrade on their car and make 700rwhp. the car is more than that--many other components were upgraded and the car was punched out to 5.8 liters. ford claims 662hp and 630tq. there are guys making 600+ rwhp and 630rwtq bone stock. these cars are apparently torque monsters and either underrated or have less drivetrain power loss.

 

ford may up the ante in 2-3 years and make this car look like small potatoes, but i doubt it. even so, i won't be upset. as it is, the car is downright scary with the tiny rear tires it has. i will say the blower is no where near as loud as my '04 was when stock, and it has nearly double the boost (15psi) stock.
