Quick Info:

2003 Ford Mustang Cobra - $23,500 OBO

Item Description:

This is a badass car, but I just don't have the time to enjoy it right now and figured I'd list it up before winter. The car isn't perfect, but it's close to it. It has been driven and enjoyed, but between the previous owner and I it has been garage kept since early 2007, and I can only assume the original owner did the same judging from the miles and condition of all the trim and whatnot. I'd rate the exterior 8/10, due to the 3rd brake light being cracked (very common), some slight swirls showing in the right lighting, the insides of the rear bumper has rub marks from the car previously being lower with big 18" radials, and a spot on the hood where the car previously had a 3.4 Whipple and broke a belt (tight clearance and the belt tagged the hood). The interior I'd rate a solid 9.5/10, there are no imperfections that I know of, but somebody else may find something. The previous owner bought the car from a dealership in 2007 stock with 9k miles on it. He's a very knowledgable guy and spared no expenses with this car, everything is done right!

2003 Zinc Yellow Cobra coupe (1 of 490)

Grey suede inserts interior

Just turned over 25k miles yesterday!

Asking $23,500 OBO, may consider trades and cash

I'm sure there are things I'll miss and some things I may not know the full details of, but I'll try my best to update the thread with other mods or further details.

Exterior

-Tinted windows, I'm guessing 20%

-Shorty antenna

-Chrome COBRA inserts on the rear bumper

-Black chrome 17x9/17x10.5 factory reps with Sumitomos up front and Nitto 555Rs out back. Will have to check the sizes when I get home, but the whole setup only has around 1500 miles on it.

-Drilled and slotted rotors front and rear

Interior

-Pillar pod with an Autometer boost gauge and a Speed Glow nitrous pressure gauge. The nitrous pressure gauge is brand new and just filling in the hole currently, needs wired up.

-Steering column gauge pod with an Autometer A/F gauge. I took this out of the car when I bought it because the previous owner told me it wasn't connected. The brain is still mounted under the dash and whatnot, so I don't know if it just needs a sensor or what but I know the tune is dead on and prefer as little gauges as necessary. The pod just slips over the column, so there is no sign that it was ever there.

-SCT flip switch tune selector custom mounted in the coin slot beside the shifter.

-Nitrous switches mounted cleanly ahead of the shifter.

Motor

-Stock block with Manley Platinum Plus domed and skirt coated pistons

-ARP head studs, main studs, and 2000 series rod bolts

-Cometic headgaskets

-Posi Race ported blower and inlet

-2.60 upper pulley with a 2 lb lower in a custom machined stock basket (very nice piece)

-2 90mm Metco idler pullies and 1 100mm with a Steeda auxiliary idler

-Accufab throttle body

-Comp Stage 3 blower cams with Comp adjustable cam gears and Livernois valve springs

-Mildly ported heads and fresh valve job

-SCT BA-3000 meter

-Accufab dual pass heat exchanger with custom shroud and dual Spal fans

-1 3/4 primary Kooks longtube headers, offroad x-pipe, and Flowmaster catback with gutted mufflers (LOUD)

-Larger intercooler tank

-Head cooling mod

-All synthetic fluids throughout

Fuel

-Fore triple hat with triple Y block

-Walbro GSS 342 pumps with upgraded and ground wires with triple relays

-10 micron inline filter with 8 an feed and return lines

-Aeromotive A-1000 boost reference regulator

-Fore fuel rails

-Siemens 80 lb injectors

*CURRENTLY TUNED ON E85*

Drivetrain

-26 spline input shaft

-Spec stage 3 clutch with lightweight chromoly flywheel

-Steeda adjustable clutch cable with firewall adjuster

-Steeda Tri-ax shifter

-IRS brace

Suspension/chassis

-UPR tubular K member and control arms

-Coilovers in front, H&R springs in rear

-Maximum Motorsports caster camber plates

-Welded full length subframe connectors

-Torque boxes tig welded

Nitrous

-NX based dry shot kit with a bottle warmer, currently has a 57 jet (roughly 125 shot)

This car is stout. It is tuned by Brian at Dyno Tune Motorsports in Columbus, Ohio and always has been. The last time on the dyno, it put down 570/525 on blower and 705/823 on spray. That was on 20 degrees of timing with a consistent 11.3-11.5 A/F ratio. It should be making slightly more now, those numbers were before the head work.

Haha I have automotive ADD something awful. When I bought this from Tim it was to be "the keeper" for a few years, but between my job, a 5 month old, and the lack of E85 in the area, I just never get it out. I figure it's better off with somebody who will enjoy it more often.

Lmao Chuck, thanks.

Thanks for posting the video Casey. You can hear the car spinning around 37 sec in the video and even on the 705 graph the lines show it spun some then as well. For a young daddy that's just overkill right now, somebody with more free time than I needs to buy this and drive it like it was built to do!

Curious, but do you know a dude from Wellston named Troy? He has a lot of Mustangs and other cool toys. I was wondering if this was one of his cars before. Either way I have both of my children listed on the black market and when they sell I plan on picking up this car. ;-)
