Out with the family to a movie and lunch with friends, then to their house on the water at Alum to walk around and get some fall photos. Didn't bring any big glass with me so I had to crop but it's first time I've seen and captured a bald eagle in Ohio.

Nice find. There is a nest at high banks. Its kind of far off the lookout deck, but if you have some good lenses i'm sure you could get some killer pictures.

I will definitely have to check it out.

I'll bring the big boy. On the 40D that's 1,200mm. I could put a 2x on it too and get even further but I'll have to manually focus it.

EF 800mm f/5.6L IS USM Lens

It will be pretty easy to spot soon as more leaves keep falling. During the summer months it's pretty hard to find even if you know exactly where to look.
