Didn't bring any big glass with me so I had to crop but it's first time I've seen and captured a bald eagle in Ohio. On the 40D that's 1,200mm. I could put a 2x on it too and get even further but I'll have to manually focus it. Its kind of far off the lookout deck, but if you have some good lenses i'm sure you could get some killer pictures. It will be pretty easy to spot soon as more leaves keep falling.
