In Vermont now. Drove up in a pretty nasty storm over Saturday night. Got up by Watertown on 81 and decided we were going to get a room and let the weather clear up, then it cleared up. They are only calling for 3-6 inches here, with this storm.

How bad was 81/84? I will be leaving tomorrow 4am and I've been watching Google Maps traffic to see if there's any major construction. So far it just looks bad at Fishkill but Waterbury is surprisingly all green for traffic.

EDIT: Gotta love New Englanders, only 3-6"

PA is looking to get 18" in some parts. That would be an area to watch. 81 had no construction and we didn't see anyone out clearing roads or treating them between 90 and Watertown.

I'm hoping that I76-I80 will avoid most of the really bad lake stuff that Cleveland/Erie/Buffalo is gonna get.

Also hoping that by getting thru there before 0800 that we'll get behind some early AM salt trucks.

We got about 3 1/2" in Pickerington and it's still snowing

Huh? Where?

I live 10 seconds from Pickerington (I can see the line sign from my neighborhood) and we didn't get shit. I work off Diley Rd and there's MAYBE an inch.

It is however snowing right now.

Road trip report:

OH/PA freaked out over nothing, I hit about 3 minutes of sustained snowfall in Akron around 0700 on the 27th.

The rest of the trip had very little precip.

Up in VT the roads were mostly clear save for a little ice. About 3" of accumulation on the driveway was no match for the snow tires.

Conclusion: FWD LOL
