Please share your results on the fmic. Looks perfect for a ls setup and I really dont want to drop the coin for a aps one. Are you trying to et it all done before this season ends?

Looking at the amount of internal turbualtors I doubt I will have any issues with cooling. The Treadstone units are great and proven, but this was $380 with shipping less than the comparable treadstone unit. $380 will buy me drag radials and a few gallons of Cam2 :)

What rear end are you running? I got acouple stockers if you need one.

The car came with spare stock Tii rears and axles, so I will rock these until the wheels fall off! LMK what you got NA w/ LSD or TII accepted ;)

So, been busy with work/travel. Finally found time to finish up the IC set up, just in time for the snow LOL.

It came out even better than expected. The intercooler although universal, basically bolted right up using the OE bumper supports! Size and spacing were absolutely perfect. I used scrap piped for the hot and cold side. Waiting on the BOV, but besides that, dump tubes, and better clamps-we are injectors away from glory pulls.

I used a radiator I had laying around I picked form the junkyard out of a Audi 200 turbo that looked new(er) and a set of cooling fans from the same junk yard run. The rad is 1/2 the thickness of the Hinson that came with the car, but it has done well thus far.

I sold the Hinson for $400, so considering the cost of the IC, I actually profited $200 by installing the IC. :) Showing was done with scraps and aluminum duct foil tape.

looking solid! I look forward to see what power this setup makes. You have a TON of turbo, so its a matter of how much you want to push the motor setup.

all that being said, you should have just gone straight up with cheetah hood exit exhaust ;)

I considered it. Lord knows it would have been easier! But, I am SO over this hood exit fad especially for a real street car. That is race car shit IMO-and this as with all my builds is a street car first.

agreed.

That being said, im getting a hood dump built this winter for my race hood :)

Hopefully you don't run into cooling issues with that setup, or have to constantly run the fans

It has not seen anything north of 185-but I have not driven it in hotter than 75 degree weather, or done any WanGan runs with it. Sitting at idle, fans cycle once every 2 minutes for 20 seconds.

If it runs hot, its a Summit Scratch and dent run away from better cooling.

Not bad. Just seems like airflow would be an issue.

Well she officially has her sea legs. Put another 100 or so mile son it the last nice week we had up here-clutch is a pain in the ass but everything works well now. Hood is on with the new IC set up. I picked up injectors and a 4 bar map for dirt. Working on mult-used 255 set up this weekend if time permits. Then, off to the dyno for some boosted baseline runs.

Rough estimate on weight?

Looks mean

Doubt heavier than 2700-2750 wet since this is an AL block. My Gold car was 2620 Wet with a tool box. 4g is maybe a hair lighter, but the T56 is heavier, add another turbo...I'd love to see it under 2700 as is though! It will go on the scale when I get it to back street (as long as its not snowing)

pressure tested, and installed.

Actually more or a pain than any other car I have built one for due to Mazda's great fuel tank Baffle.

Investment=$0. Car had a 255 in it, and I pulled one out of a dusty box from a DSM part out many moons ago. A drill, welder, and a dream-and we are in business! Wires with 12 GA wire and a 40 amp relay, we should be good to 800+ RWP

Installed with a used rising rate regulator,

and we are 99% ready for some baseline runs. If everything falls into place we will be on the dyno Friday night. :)
