morabu
Awesome to see Nico Hülkenberg get a race win finally. Especially at Le Mans as a rookie. He is a great driver on a mediocre team in F1. Mark Webber coming in 2nd was pretty cool too. Good to see Dempsey get a podium finish. i liked the documentary they did on him at the 24h Le Mans last year. Also, nice to see Corvette pick up the win in their category.

turbospec29
How'd the FWD nissan things do?
Crossle
They (LMP1 Nissans) were really off pace for their class. They actually got penalized for being too slow in qualifying for LMP1. Your qualifying time has to be within a certain percentage of the fastest car in your class and they did not hit that.
greg1647545532
Article about some of the teething problems the Nissan was facing. Older article explaining the logic behind a FWD LMP1 car for those like me who were out of the loop.
bmwohio
Yea, Nissan's new FWD was pretty pathetic....however, they did run the whole weekend without their hybrid system engaged.....Nissan's fastest lap during the race was a 3:35 compared to Audi which was a 3:17...you do the math of how that computes over 24 hours .. Nissan didn't even make it into the 'results' because they needed to complete 70% of the Porsche's winning laps...which they failed to do... Driver's complained of 'epic torquesteer' They were more worried about reliabilty and finishing the race than having speed and the car breaking. The LMP1 cars can use 8 megajoules over the 8 mile lap, which is usually 4-5 second faster per lap, so even if they had the Hybrid system they were still WAY off the pace..... This is pretty good summation of their debacle..... http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/features/car-culture/data-data-data-why-nissans-2015-le-mans-wasnt-a-total-disaster/
