Freaked out my neighbor earlier. Had the car sitting like this without the jack under it.

I've only met him a couple times, he drove past and thought the cat litter buckets were holding up the car and was concerned for my safety. I was really just using them to keep the knuckles out of the way while I put the control arms back on.

I will bet it is perfect on stock manifolds.

The Mustang's stock manifolds are nothing like the archaic blobs of cast iron slapped on the LS3 though; They resemble shorty headers. Not sure what point I'm trying to make here except they weren't very loud to me, or at least didn't bother me while driving/cruising.

I'm doing an X pipe only, cheap ($84 shipped LOL), and sounds good/no drone.

This is by far the least expensive option and I've heard one in person, pretty quiet still but not graveyard quiet like stock. I just figure if I'm going to do it, just go ahead and get the full thing and take the slight weight savings as well.

This is exactly what I'm looking for. Just a bit more volume all around, but no drone. This car begs for mods, so $650-1k on an exhaust will be rerouted to Konis at some point.

God dammit Brian, ordered the "Race" Call me a pussy, challenge accepted. :)

I want to upgrade mine so it emits a bit more tone but the damn prices for them is 2-3x yours and they yield zero power gain. Mustangs sound amazing.

I'm making over 700HP through those "blobs" that you are referring to.

Then you nailed it!!!

What swung it for me was, I listened to them with my Bose SoundLink Mini Bluetooth speaker connected to my phone. Then I could hear the race was a much lower pitch than the street, which is what I was really after. If I hate it, I'll remove it and sell here or Mustang6g.com. I think I'm gonna like it, all my cars have been pretty quiet in the past. Looking forward to how this sounds with the top down. :fuckyeah:

I was talking about noise levels, not power, but I bet you'd make more if your manifolds resembled stock coyote ones.

Congrats on all the progress, definitely looking forward to seeing it all come together. Hopefully all went smoothly with the arms now that the new bushings are in, definitely let us know anything else you may need help with.

MBRP definitely a great way to go on any of the modern Fords, we sell them on trucks and mustangs very very often. Great sound especially for the price.

OK got it all back together and put about 50 miles on it this evening. It all seems good, worst roads I could find and no weird noises. Didn't really thrash the cornering because it so out of alignment.

I have a little driveline clunk on throttle down that I think is probably just drive shaft slack. Considering there is almost no rubber left in the rear end I'm happy if that and a tiny bit more gear whine is the worst.

The most shocking improvement so far was how immediate power delivery is now. I can't wait to see how my 60ft times improved.

Hopefully it will get in to be aligned early next week then I'll really start beating on it.
