Fiji ST
A/C went out yesterday at the house. Compressor kicks on, but the fan doesn't spin unless I do it. Research leads me to the capacitor, but I can't seem to find one locally. Anyone know where I can buy one locally?

You can take the motor and capacitors to http://americanelectricmotorservice.com and they will test them for free and probably help you find parts. Rally Pat
Habagger (sp?) on Silver drive. We just replaced ours last weekend, it was $12 I think.
Alex1647545498
Dayco had mine in stock. http://partwizard.com/LocationDayCo.php
Alex1647545498
Wait they didn't have my part number in stock. I got one that worked. If you tell them the shape, size, prong config, uF rating, voltage rating and +/- %, they should be able to find one in stock that would work. The ratings should be on the bad capacitor. Not Brian
+1 for Dayco that's where I went for a new capacitor, motor, and fan.
Duff1647545513
I most likely have one you need if you have any issues getting one
Fiji ST
Thanks for the suggestions. One of the guys at work suggested Grainger down in Worthington right after I posted this. They had it in stock and I got a Byers discount too. Of course, that wasn't the problem. Motor on the fan was fine too, so I bit the bullet and called someone in. Turned out to be some fuses had blown. $135 later and we have cold air again. He also inspected everything inside and outside the house, and did a little preventative maintenance on it so it was worth it I think. He even left an install job he was doing to come check it out.
