caseyctsv
Ok I am bored and laying out some plans for the car before spring. Any opinions on racing stripes? I was thinking dark charcoal or even white - twin stripes up the hood. Subject: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Versluis
ZL1 front end?
-Alex-
I think it looks clean as is. I think a silver or charcoal would be a nice color against it if you go with them. I kinda like the '69 SS hockey stripes on them when done right.
Ackbar00
Negative on the stripes.
Not Brian
imho the color of your car just isn't compatible with wearing racing stripes - it would look more like a nice car that somebody slapped stripes on, opposed to something that flows naturally together and just works. This is the best pic I could find on Google. It looks "okay", but nothing I'd be super proud of. http://www.rjwmotorsports.com/images/products/2137_extra_image_1.jpg Gray looks awful I imagine white would be worse. TTQ B4U
Mixed thoughts on this. Like the idea of matt black / charcoal to match the convertible top then accent them with silver to bring in the wheels. Something like this style? Not sure. Like Brian said, I think your color isn't crying for it. Below works well IMO. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2548/3735475122_43c9af3a29_o.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2651/3734677237_dcbb2b941e_o.jpgSave

Most likely because they are shiny paint. If you could find some high gloss ones that were as wide as your whole lower front grille and nearly as wide as the hood that would look potentially amazing (not to mention different than all the others out there) This would also be nearly impossible with vinyl due to the curves I guess - another reason paint is best! SpaceGhost
I was gonna do some too but decided not to. If you like them go for it. I couldn't find exactly what I wanted which was the ultimate reason I didn't put some on. I like some of the big worm ones.
PRD2BDF
Nope but I do have to ask. The front tires seems to have a lot of sidewall, is that the specced size?
caseyctsv
ZL1 front end? I like it but not worth the effort. I will be ordering a heritage grill before spring.

caseyctsv
Nope but I do have to ask. The front tires seems to have a lot of sidewall, is that the specced size? They are 275/40 on 10" wide wheels - that is the spec'd aftermarket size but some do 285/35 to cut the sidewall a bit

Otis Nice
Gold stripes. For real though, I agree with the rest. No stripes. EDIT: Although, as always, who gives a crap what the CR collective thinks? If you want stripes, get stripes. It's your car and money. I don't care if you put purple stripes on that thing really. Not Brian
Aren't Z28 wheels supposed to hold 305 tires? Or are those clones skinnier?
