So Eric picked up a solid 2003 M5 in Dark Blue Metallic but it needed some love. In reviewing the packages and options, we decided upon Option 3, Elite Enhancement because it was in need of compounding and polishing in order to get through the oxidation and swirls that were instilled while it lived in Florida.

You'll see in the pics that the hood was completely destroyed. The hood was repainted and the front fenders blended but in all honesty, I wasn't sure I was going to be able to save the hood from needing repainted.

Given he isn't going to daily the car he went with Gyeon's CanCoat SiO2 product. It's an excellent coating with SUPER hydrophobic properties but its has on a daily it's about a 6-9 life expectancy. It's a weekend and special event car not a daily so it should last just fine with his care going forward. We also ceramic coated the glass so driving in the rain will no longer be an issue. Onto the Pics:

BEFORE:

The car had swirls that went from medium to horrible.

The hood looked like it was close to needing re-sprayed.

All the moldings and trim were faded badly too. I threw in a complete re-dying and sealing of them at no charge as there's no way this beauty could have gone home incomplete.

Overall, the car turned out great.

Thank you again Eric for trusting me with your new-to-you car that is barely a month old! She's a beauty!!

Really, there are no words to say that haven’t been said already.
Ditto. Makes me want to buy a hoopty, take it for the Tim treatment, and flip it. Lol

Really do need to get a vehicle over there though.

Miracles were worked this past weekend. The transformation Tim was able to accomplish is unreal.

I bought the car from the original owner from Daytona Beach, FL. I had a million pictures and a PPI and of course when I flew down to get the car it was raining cats and dogs. I didn't realize the issues with the paint until I stopped for gas in Georgia and got a good look.

She looks amazing and with the CanCoat SiO2, she will stay that way :fuckyeah:

If anyone is curious, it's actually a Dinan S2 car and I'm planning to bring her to Cars & Coffee this Saturday.

Tim, thanks again!

Thanks for the kind words and the opportunity to bring that baby back to life. It's the perfect sedan and I love the color. Just hold off on actually "washing it" until Friday or so. It can get rained on that's fine.
