So much hate.

Actions speak louder than words, and Trump and the GOP have *shown* that they are a problem that must be removed.

You can say whatever you THINK might happen, but I have watched what HAS happened, and turning a blind eye to that is the most irresponsible thing someone can do. Trump is the most UNamerican person I can think of. After what he has DONE in his position as POTUS, voting for him is absolutely unthinkable. Frankly, he's so bad, I really am starting to group people who blindly support him with Flat Earthers and Anti-Vaxxers. The sheer denial of plain fact is mindboggling.

I'm tired of trying to find a middle ground, only to watch one side shoot themselves in the face and then blame the other side. I'm fucking tired of it. My dream is that the Dems sweep it all, eliminate the Electoral college and undo decades of gerrymandering so the GOP never rises to power again. Because they DO NOT represent the majority of americans.

I love this country and I'm tired of seeing it being corrupted at the people's expense.

So you're tired of seeing it corrupted so you want it to be 100% ran by a bunch of corrupt career politicians? Makes cents I suppose.

At least you are willing to admit your intention, along with the rest of your party. This sounds a lot like “we want to eradicate 40%-50% of the country because they have different opinions than us! Let’s put them in camps! Let’s put them in ovens!”

bottom line, you shouldnt be allowed to vote with that much hatred in your heart for your fellow Americans.

I dont think so - Im still a civil, pleasant person outside of my views of the extreme left.

Like I said, I dont wish harm on anyone, but when it comes to defending what I think is *more* right for the direction of this country, I will speak up and if I must, defend it.

Im pretty sure there are several in this thread that you couldn't pay to sit down and have a drink with me because of their views of anyone that doesn't vehemently denounce trump.

The start of the 2024 election!

hahaha! Thats actually funny though.

Im looking forward to this cycle being over.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this type of political engagement is what will stay for the next several years. The pendulum will just keep swinging back and forth with MSM frothing at the mouth because they can report on bullshit for another 4 years.

Question, Trump seems to have extreme hatred in his heart for his fellow Americans, should he be allowed to vote?

Everyone takes issue with either the extreme left, the extreme right, or both.

The problem you're exhibiting is you're letting that hatred for a very small subset of our society occupy too much of your political views and decisions.

No doubt, MSM, social media, and the current administration thrives off of ginning up this sort of ill-will. Everyone thinks of themselves as civil and pleasant until they're stocking up on ammo.

is it reasonable that the same can be said for others in this group?

Being called a racist or worse for 4 years gets a little exhausting wouldn't you say? Specially when it couldn't be any further from the truth (its silly to me that I even have to say that...). If theres a scenario that I can accept that my views have been polarized/hardened by the mud slung at what I would call regular, decent Americans, shouldn't that be an option for others on the opposite side of the political spectrum?

If your answer is no, then we cant have a productive conversation.

maybe he does - or maybe you have been specifically fed the right amount of misinformation and edited sound clips that reenforce that opinion.

You wont really know that until you look deep within. Im not sure thats whats going on here anymore. Its more comfortable to gravitate towards things that make us feel justified in our position/anger towards the other side. Im adult enough to admit when I feel that way.

I read his twitter feed almost daily, there is 0% manipulation or editing or selective choice there. Christ. Do you read his twitter feed?

I agree: when people say that someone who supports Trump is automatically a racist, that is hateful speech. I've been called that as a Trump supporter myself.

However, the thing more disappointing than Trump's ongoing, tone-deaf behavior or commentary that paints him as a sexist or racist are the people that back him up, and react so negatively. Fundamentally, that is what I have a problem with after 4 years of him as President: he's stoked the divisiveness in our country more than a few thousand Antifa/BLM participants could do for the next 100 years.
