mrmako777 Posted July 8, 2009 Report Share Posted July 8, 2009 to make a long story short, i decided to take my race railz off my bike to do some work. the right side engine mounting bolt was a pita to get out and ultimately i stripped the threads near the motor head. so i retapped the hole and screwed in the oem bolt which surprisingly, although a bit loose draws in without problem. i have noticed tho that the oem bolt doesnt tighten flush with the frame (maybe 1-2mm out). since i havent had the oem bolt threaded in quite some time, im not sure if this is okay (somehow i doubt it). can someone tell me if the bolt head is supposed to be flush with the frame or not?
