Tpoppa
This guy wants to trade for my Buell. I am not a Kawi guy and don't know what it's worth. If I did trade, I would just turn around and sell since I'm trying to get down to just 1 bike.http://roanoke.craigslist.org/mcy/1368629898.html $5,800 seems high, what would you offer for it? cmh_sprint
According to NADA average retail is $5,656. With the extras he has put on the bike I would say he is in the ball park for an accurate asking price.
V4junkie
NADA says average retail is about $5,600. I don't remember what year your xb is but I'd consider that more than a fair trade. The 06 is just about the best year for the Kawi 600. With the current market I would expect a hard sell for anything more than $5k.
Tpoppa
My Buell is an 05, with 8,400 miles. Why is 06 a good year for the ZX6? Is the valve check due at 12k on Kawis?
V4junkie
Last year of the 636cc as far as I know. Undertail exhaust, they put all the goodies on it without uglying it up.
redkow97
i believe they resolved the 2nd/3rd gear gremlins that plagued SOME of the prior year Kawi 600s.valve check is due at 12 or 13k.
Tpoppa
I'll wait a week or 2 and if the Buell doesn't sell, I'll prolly do this trade. I'm guessing a 636 with a warranty will sell easier than the Buell. Plus, I could return the 636 to stock and sell the aftermarket stuff on ebay. Uncle Punk
I don't know if your Buell has a slipper clutch but that Kawi does. You can't get rid of the Buell, I think it's kind of cool that you ride it well enough to surprise people that a Buell can actually act like a sport bike. Tpoppa
Buell is defintely a sportbike, there are people that can ride them faster than me (come on a CORE ride).I've put almost 40k miles on Buells & I'll prolly get another one of these days. For now I'm trying to I'm just looking to ride something different & I'm finally starting to feel confident on the F4i that I picked up this spring.UP, you wouldn't happen to know someone who needs a ZX6r would you... 35RFTW
That looks like a pretty nice trade deal for you. Buells are awesome bikes, but always seem to be soft on the sale prices.

Uncle Punk
UP, you wouldn't happen to know someone who needs a ZX6r would you...That's funny!!! At this time I am having major financial difficulties. I was on unemployment for five months and lost a renter on one side of a duplex I own. That should be no big deal but I just got an estimate for damages yesterday at $16,100. I can't rent it the way it is so I'm fucked bike wise this year.
