ninjachk08
Got a stupid question.. Pedro
If a company is that cheap that they won't pay for a long distance phone call that might cost a dollar or so I don't know if I would want to work for them. It's too much of a hassle to change phone numbers these days.
Wheezle
U don't need to change ur number for your job, if they want u to have a different number they can provide it.

Tonik
So you don't look like you are coming from too far away.....got it. If you are not too far away I would not worry about it. In metro Cleveland there are three area codes, going from one to the other is no big deal. Now if I was applying for a job in Toledo and I really thought I had a shot at it and wanted to move I would consider getting a local cell phone...some cheap prepaid throw away one. Tonik
So you live locally to the job but just have not switched over your cell? I change my answer, no reason to worry about that at all.
Cypress
I have a 740 number but I work in the 614 area. Don't worry about changing it.
Cheech
No worries here. As was said, if they have a problem with spending 4 cents a minute to call long distance, you don't want to be there in the first place.
Artmageddon
It won't be an issue. 740, 614, 937 are so intertwined, that no one even thinks about it. Most people are using cell phones anyway, so long distance means nothing.
John
people still pay for long distance these days?

SWing'R
I have a 740 number but I work in the 614 area. Don't worry about changing it.yeah don't sweat it. I know people with cell phone numbers from all over, most have them from their "home" area but have moved and never changed them which allows people from their homearea to call them without long distance charges. Bad324
I've lived in Cinci and Indy with a Cleveland area code and it never affected me getting any of the 5 jobs I had, granted 3 of those were part time jobs while I was in school. chevysoldier
When I was in the military, I got a cell phone in Cali, 760 area code. Now Im back in Ohio, 740/614 area code and I refuse to change my number because I have too many ppl all over the world that have it. I just tell them the story and that I live in Ptown and it's all good. The only prob is when bill collectors call or something like that, its at like 11 at night because they figure I am in Cali and it's earlier there.
