jermattak
Don't have to take things to personal! All I see is opinions and people telling stories about why a helmet saved their life. Yes the human body is fragile, leathers and helmets save lives… do what you want but if someone that rides with me doesn't have one on... I'm busting out and going somewhere else or home! I don't want to see people's brain matter scattered all over the road when I'm off duty, I see enough of it at work! This is what 30-50mph crashes on a YSR and NSR50 can do to Jamie Hacking's leathers... My helmet isn't in any better shape! amen! i will not ride with anyone w/o at least a helmet, and wont go on a "spirited ride" with them unless they have a jacket

fireman_343
Wait a second... Did I read that right? Did you wreck two bikes at the same time? No, I wrecked two bikes, but not at the same time! On different race bikes with the same leathers/helmet! ProudPops
Yeah, yeah, yeah...."Hey...FUCK YOU MAN!!" ;):lol:I knew there was a reason why you and I had the most timeouts in sensitivity training. So you just settle down there young'n. Just because I can't spell Kittylittering doesn't mean I can't find it. You might want to check in with the young'n and, ooops my bad that was me that broke his collar bone. Nevermind.
vectorvictor
Has anyone hit their head on a door jamb or the corner of a drop ceiling at .5mph? Well if you havent or just dont remember because of the whole passed out on the floor thing then.... Try it at 20mph or how about 50mph. see how long it takes you to get back up after that. After ten minutes of riding I dont even know its there except when a rock or a beetle trys to take my head off. Then I think thank god that wasnt my forehead or my eye that thing just scratched. Most accidents happen at 35 mph according to the number crunchers and thats faster than I want to hit the ground w my head or got forbid a telephone pole. You decide but stay away from me if you are tempting fate. Screwed up as it is I like my family and my life and I want to see my son graduate from college. You decide for yourself if the wind in your face is worth it and take the risk by yourself.

To me, the wind in my face is not worth not seeing my son graduate. It's your choice...but if you choose to be without, you may want to consider the kind of position you will put your family and friends in if something happens. ousley99
thats weird. so its not your choice to wear a helmet on the road but it is your choice to not wear a helmet in "the woods", where the government can choose to apply eminet domain(yes i miss spelled, kiss my ass) and put up a highway where they choose? ousley99
ohh and ninja nick. have you ridden with me yet? pretty sure i havnt worn a helmet yet on an ohio riders ride. so next time u mumble dumbass under your breath, remember i will school you anyday, anytime on the track. i actually know someone that died of a heart attack for no reason what so ever... he had no history in the family and was in perfect health. all american in football 4 years earlier, and just graduated from law school with a wife and beautifull baby. moral of the story is we all die. ive broken 22 bones, had 12 surgeries, 20+ ER room visits, and almost had my wrists amputated. im sure that oned day it will be my turn, whether im doing 180mph or standing on the side of the road waiting for a ride... america equals freedom. thats what we fight for! (yes, i work for the gov. im an MP actually) so the next time you are smoking a cigg, drinkn a beer, or eating at applebees, remember, you choose to do that, because you wanted to, not because a freaking republican voted on it

The really cool part about those of us who choose to either vote for our choice or ride like Lemmings have not chosen to try to pound it into your frail craniums that your opinion is right. Mine may not be right either, but it's mine. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
NinjaNick
I don't care if someone rides w/out a helmet personally. It's their RIGHT not too. But, I believe in what I said 2posts back though.Maybe Spies and Mladin will go helmetless this Sept at Mid-Ohio. We can only hope, huh OUSLEY? lol
gsxr750girl
If you know me then you know what I do for a living! I know we have no law here in ohio that states we have to have a helmet on! Yet listen up please I know it is your right to sport your sunglasses and think you look cool! Or you don't put your helmet on because it blocks your view! ok fair enough, yet in my line of work I put mine on every time even if I am just riding down the street to dry off the bike! Please people a helmet is only going to aid in you living if you get into an accident! if you wreck without it, and you are giving the chance you will most likely never ride without it! I don't feel sorry for those who don't have one on and get into an accident! I feel sorry for your friends and family because you were too dumb to put on a helmet.....oh also they are always on sale even a cheap one will save your life! xoxxgsxr750girl
gsxr750girl
Seriously !ousley99! I'm going to agree with Ninja Nick and XB12Ss on this one and all the others who do too! I don't care how good of a damn rider you think you are there is always someone better then you! Yet that is besides the point! I'm getting ready to head to work and I m reading a post with you guys going back in forth about helmets! I hope Ohio does pass a helmet law and DUMBASSES like yourself OUSLEY99 have too! Oh by the way I didn't say it under my breath! I put on a damn uniform every couple days and when the tones drop and its a motorcycle accident everyone of us hopes they have a hemlet on because alot of us ride too! No one wants to pick a fellow rider up off the side of the road, and then have to explain to their famlies they could still be around but they couldn't take one min to put on a helmet! OUSLEY99 for your friends and family I hope you are a good rider! Yet always remember shit on the road, a car that didn't see you, even worse a tractor trailer, or some little kid that runs out in the middle of the road and your going to fast and you try and get out of the way! Oh wait none of this means anything to you! Stop and think!
Zecho
And what if this were titled "The government is passing a law requiring men to wear condoms to prevent the spread of AIDS"?I have a standard answer to all of the "Should the govt ________?" questions.I'm pro-choice, but my choice is pro-life.I'm anti a lot of shit, just do what you have to do and stop affecting other people with it. When it affects me, I have a say in it.

NinjaNick
But is all the I am faster than you required? Some have to say such a thing as a desperate attempt to defend themselves when they feel they're out numbered or wrong.Ex: "Oh yeah, well....well....I can whoop your ass!" <----Really sounds pathetic doesn't it. I don't get it why some act like that, but oh well, I grew out of that stage.
