After some searching I found a screamin' deal on a leftover '10 XR1200 at a dealer in Montana in my favorite color, Mirage Orange. Since I removed the rear pegs (wife has her own bike) I ordered up the color matched cowl cover and a pair of Vance & Hines rear shock risers to quicken the steering and gain lean angle. Also installed a Kuryakyn Low Profile LED taillight. Man, that sucker is bright!

Fresh off the truck 6 miles new...

That's one of the manufacturing area's at work. We make carbon fiber parts for the aerospace industry (Maverick Corp.). I had it delivered at work knowing it can stay there till spring. It was nice to install the parts in a nice, warm climate controlled environment.

CR69..I'm a 500 lover too. You've got a set of "89" Radiator louvers on yours but I know its not an "89"...I just did my 4th Aluminum frame 500 conversion. Not totally complete but 95% as of right now.
