speedytriple
The storm we had last night would have been killer for some shots BUT I had to watch it from a loading dock at work as I had to work till 4 am today..

buildit
Thanks, it seems the key is when the storm isn't over YOU. Otherwise you tend to get too much flash off the clouds.
Beegreenstrings
Takes a special camera to be able to catch it.It's like the pic I took of My fiance shooting her 1911. I totally did nto think it would catch the slide coming back forward or the shell ejecting. It was cool.
Kyle Hunter
Had an opportunity once, but I did not have my good stuff with me so I used my moms Sony P&S

curby
i actually went to get my camera with the last storm we had, but there wasn't much lighting. I did get 2 shots, barely. I'll have to load them up later.
ReconRat
I've done a few. And I know how difficult it can be. So all of these are pretty good.I also know that standing near an aluminum tripod in a lightening storm isn't a good idea.

Photos by Marty
great shots. Haven't had the chance to get out and take some storm pictures. Had a chance at Mid Ohio during the AMA's but couldn't get to the far side of the track to get the time and scoring tower in the pictures.I really like my carbon fiber tripod, but still worry about the lightning strikes. Beaverun was no fun last weekend standing next to armco (guardrail) as the sky was lighting up.
