Very sad and hopefully the kid on the bike will be able to live a somewhat normal life. I hate to hear of racing accidents but those that happen with kids are that much harder to hear about. I hope this doesn't turn into another kids shouldn't be out on a track situations but I've got a feeling it will.

First, and most importantly, R.I.P. to the little feller. So sad.

Second, if the story is accurate and "he spun out and came to rest where he was hidden behind a little hill", why weren't there track workers/parent volunteers out there waving flags and slowing/stopping the other 6 year olds when one of the kids is stopped where he's not visible?

Don't know any facts, only what's being reported, but this sounds like it was completely preventable with just the tiniest amount of foresight and planning.
