Beegreenstrings
For anyone interested, NRA fundamental shooting is having a fun shoot at Briar rabbit on the 29th.It is at night and is under strict rules for saftey. This is like the second or third year. It is a pot luck type shoot.Lights and lasers ARE allowed. If you do not have one that attaches hopefully you have taken the night time intruder class and learned how to use a light and shoot at the same time. It's more for fun than for anything. Just Briars way of having Holloween. No Magnums or Rifles on the pistol range. Carbines are allowed in Pistol calibers.Eyes and Ears are Required at all times on the gun range.Questions for the shoot can be directed to Shawn TorresQuestions for the Pot Luck can be directed to Rhonda at the club house.I will answer as many questions as I can...Briar Rabbit Shooting Sports2949 Granger Hill RoadZanesville, Ohio 43701Phone: 740-454-3817

4DAIVI PAI2K5
Sounds fun' date=' but I don't think I'd do well shooting in the dark with a bunch of folks I don't shoot with on a regular basis. [/quote'] My thoughts as well but thats why I wanted to know how it was set up.
Beegreenstrings
Sorry for the delay I never saw it come to the top of the list so I guess I did not pay attention to it.But see below, if I missed soemthing let me know.Oh really....Yes, really. Im off that day. whats the cost? is it just standing a shooting? distances?Cost: $20/person plus whatever you bring for the potluck...Yes, stationary - at steel targets - if it is like last year... one stage will have a single paper target for score.distance: 20-35 feet...Some of it will be shot in or around dusk.At night shoot... It is pitch dark. Shooter is aloud one light. No size requirments that I know of, but must be able to hold it.Probably start around 5ishEffff I thought it was a Sunday.I work that might til 8. How late does it go?Nope SaturdayIs the new Hornady rounds mentioned in another post required?http://www.hornady.com/in-the-news/latest-news/zombie-max-ammunitionNo not necessary, steel match would be better for you.It will be dark and there will not be a whole lot of time to pick up brass.I'll be there for the 2 gun this Sunday. I've been goin to briar rabbit for ever. Who's setting the stages. Not sure who will all be involved. Could be Mike Wilson, Shawn Torres and whoever the R.O.'s are for that night. Beegreenstrings
9mms too?Dang, I guess I could break out the High Standard Duramatic.Really... c'mon... 22 (which you will not knock anything down) 9mm 40's 45acp's 10mm 38 super and 38 can all be shot on the steel plates. 357 magnums and above (I believe, I dont own the range) must be shot on the magnum range.and I am not going into all the sub calibers... 357 sig blah blah blah... Common sense should tell you the answer.
Beegreenstrings
Some pics... before all the smoke set in... I shot stock class. Shot the 1911 in .45 for the day and the H&K at night... sucka'sFirst. Your neighbors have been unseen for the past week. You go over to the house to see what is going on. You here moaning and groaning coming from inside the house. You kick in the door and find mommy and daddy are already zombies at the end of the hall. Two on the body one in the head. You run down clear the corner and find the ten rugrats are now zombies too, go to work.Two. You are tending bar at the local watering hole. Ten zombies burst through the door. Go to work. (started out you had to keep it between the two post on the bar. Soon got changed to, stay behind the bar.Three. My worst nightmare. The dreaded "+" crosses. Blah! Lost the most time on this course. These are just a few. We did 3 in the daylight and three at night. Turnout was nice. About 30-40 shooters and about 60 people total.Hopefully, I will see all you chickens next year!
