I don't wait. I once got off a scooter to get the car behind me to pull forward to trigger the sensor- she freaked that a biker (on a 50cc scooter) was walking towards her, and caused an accident pulling around the bike and into the intersection.

She got the ticket too.

Now, I look left, right- and all around to see if I see the PoPo, and go.

Simple, make right hand turn. Go down the road 200 ft make Uturn and then another right a the light.

It's only illegal if police are present! Pretty minor issue in my opinion.

U-turns are illegal in Ohio unless clearly stated otherwise. Might as well just run the light. It'd be the same ticket.

done, but casper i though u-turns are legal if its not posted? ive seen "no u-turn" signs but never seen a sign that allows u-turns?

As for U-turns, there is one on 161 between 270 and iron pony. If a u-turn is not your cup of joe, turn around in a driveway, farm field, parking lot or do like they do on one way streets and go to the next intersection and make a left.
