redkow97 Posted October 17, 2012 Report Share Posted October 17, 2012 Law enforcement has gotten better about protecting UC's in the wake of some serious whistle-blowing on their prior lack of concern. Read "no angel" by Jay Dobyns. He spends 2 years under cover an was quite close to becoming a "full patch" hells angels member. It's a decent read if you can get past all the bragging he does in the first couple chapters. The primary charges against the angels were also illegal gun sales and I a lesser extent, drug sales. RICO is what really fucks gangs though. It makes crimes that would ordinarily be probation offenses into felonies of the first degree.
