That much is true. but not very common now a days. Physicians are trying to be a bit more careful about that now with insurance coverage for physicians being so high.

No such thing as "routine" surgery, lots bad can happen fast.....trust me. One of the most dangerous times is coming out of anesthesia, the body can go into shock and the blood pressure bottoms out. Everyone also reacts differently to anesthetic agent, and many cannot use any of the 3 agents that are used because it will give them a severe life threatening reaction called malignant hypothermia. Physicians are no more careful now than they always have been, the advances in technology and techniques is what has changed. ;)

While the rest of country has moved toward allowing the public to protect themselves and their property, leading to overall reduced crime, Illinois has done the opposite and as a consequence, hundreds of people have been victimized.
