I've ran thousands of miles with a plugged tire(s). As long as it's not out towards the edge, it should be fine.3 points

Dude I've always wanted you to stuff into me at every corner. It's been my dream.3 points

I seriously considered purchasing a new BMW S1000R. I think it's a great bike, but the potential cost of ownership scared me away. Not sure if BMWs or Aprilias are more reliable, but BMW has a vastly superior dealer network. After owning 3 Buells (that had TERRIBLE dealer support from HD's dealer network), I really have no interest in owning anything like a KTM, MV, or Aprilia even though I really like some of their motorcycles. IMO, Ducati & BMW are borderline, but I would own another Triumph someday. With any of those brands I think it's wise to ride as many miles as possible while the motorcycle is still under warranty and let the dealer sort out any teething issues on the factory's dime. Having a second bike, preferably something Japanese, is also a smart move. I'm more of a riding enthusiast than a motorcycle enthusiast.3 points

First time that me and the mrs. officially 2up on a bike. There was the one time when she was prego 18 years ago i ran her a half mile up the road total squid like. But tonight was the official first time. Did 215 miles to the Valley View Bike Night. It was a great feeling because just a year or more ago we were too heavy to do this, now there is 190 lbs gone between us it was possible. Think she fell asleep on the way home..lol3 points

Long over due front fork rebuild with heavier springs from Race Tech, seals and oil, a sag set adjustment, new brake pads front and rear, front master cylinder rebuild and finally a fresh set of new Dunlop Roadsmart II's. Many thanks to @Isaac's Papa for all your help on everything but the Master Cylinder rebuild. I am now ready for my track day on Saturday. I can't wait. She's like brand new again and runs great!!!2 points

Same here. A properly installed plug should last the life of the tire. If it were to fail it would be a slow leak. I check my pressure before every ride anyway.2 points

That sounds more like a suspensions setup issue. Perhaps too much preload or compression is set too stiff.2 points

Excuse me... you should stick to your track forums with your lingo. K THNX BAI2 points

Sooooo, back on topic. Weather already feels better by evening not as dense as they predicted. Gut feeling says it's gonna be cloudy 80ish and no rain a fierce battle between Derek's magnet and toniks dome1 point

You can only ride 1 bike at a time, why do you need 2 reliable ones. Just get the awesomest one.1 point

For me there's usually lots of swearing and name calling and somewhat violent shaking of the wheel + caliper + axle until everything lines up.1 point

I grab the shovel from the corner of the garage. Put the blade under the tire, push down on the handle, and the wheel goes up.1 point

THIS. This is single handedly the number one cause for tire issues. Every time someone brings in a tire bitching about how it lasted or lost shape, I walk over and grab the tire gauge. I just checked a 2007 R1 the other day, it had 18 in the front, 21 in the rear...1 point

I'll bet the new rebel 500 is a hell of a lot more fun than most cruisers. That little motor is surprisingly entertaining.1 point

Well all restrictions removed and will be back to work Monday. Doc said I'm fastest recovery of any of the simular case patients she has ever had. She said usually its a 5 month recoveey time and I'm only at 3 months. I always tell doctors I'm a fast healer but they never believe me till after the fact. She also said im going to have stiffness and soreness for months if not another year but the chance of reinjury without another trauma is slim. Thanks again to all of you for helping me through this whole ordeal.1 point

Changed 2 tires in 90 degree heat in a garage with no A/C. I sweat enough I thought I ran a 5k.1 point

I was hoping it to be a non mach retard kind of day. A nice 10 to 15 over posted limits is perfect for me. Justin and i did that most of last week and it was a nice ride. Only time we wicked it up is when we passed cars or multiple cars. Not that I can't keep a mock retard Pace I would rather just not do it all day long that's where I get myself in trouble.1 point

See @Tonik he's pure evil. He manipulates us and turns us against each other. Acts like he wants to save your life one min then when you have his trust he tries to kill you. So I had no choice if I had invited you I might already be dead.1 point

Until now there were not many questions. I knew it was the right bike, just had to get it home. Worry not, I will be tapping your knowledge.1 point
