I got off work at 11 tonight and I picked up a 6 pack on the way home...my wife has to work in the morning so I didn't want to disturb her sleep so I bypassed my house and went down to the lake (I live 1 mile from Knox lake)...im sitting here on the tail gate of the truck enjoying a few brews listening to crickets, frogs, ect, there are a few boats on the water fishing the channel, and a family of racoon's walk by a few minutes ago. There is some lightning in the sky and what looks to be a full moon. Kinda of a Zen moment after a hard weeks work, makes you think (just maybe)its all worth it.......that is all....just thought id share

How did you get the truck home again? Or did you drive drunk? I'm not a real big fan of drunk drivers after the being the victim of a one who crossed the center line and hit me head on at 80mph. This was 20 years ago and it's still as fresh in my mind as on that night.

ME880 last the longest but cost too. I've had great performance and life out of Cheng Shins Barracuda. Just my opinion.

I always liked the avon venoms. They wore great and looked good.

+1 on the ME880's. Put a pair on the VRSCR and they are great all around. 2K on them and they still look new.

i had Metzler ME880s on the vmax and it was the best thing i ever did to that bike they supposedly get great mileage (i didnt wear them out, they looked brand new after 2-3k miles when i sold it)....they were plenty sticky, i could lean the bike over until the footpegs scraped and they took it perfectly....awesome tires i also got caught in quite a few thunderstorms and never had them slip or anything, which says a lot on such a torquey bike....even rode a thunderstorm at 80ish on the freeway just fine

my dad bought one because he liked the lightning but wanted a 4 door he didnt own one HD t-shirt, he rode a yamaha, and he used to rag on his friends harleys all the time as he busted their ass from stop lights when they thought they had a "fast" harley how does simply owning the truck correlate to anything youre saying? its not just a rebaged f150...they came fully loaded, climate control, heated seats, captains chairs with center consoles front and back, 5.4 supercharged motor unavailable in any other trim besides the lightning - which was only available in 2 door i drove it after he passed and i dont wear harley anything, in public or otherwise and i wrench on my own bikes and trucks whenever possible....pretty sure i know how to start a bike
