New member here. My name is Adam. I am an OSU grad and lifetime Ohio native living in the Dublin area for now. I caught hints of CR at coffee and cars and was told to check out the site. My driveway has an '06 Denali Sierra truck, an '09 Escalade, a '04 D3 A8L, and an '07 RS4. I sometimes trade my dad for a few weeks at a time to drive the '03 996-4S that we share (cold air intake, turbo wheels, Fabspeed exhaust, 997 facelift), or I will take his '12 Genesis R-spec for a spin for a couple hours just to remember what rear wheel drive is like. Within the past year I have sold my '08 Q7 4.2 S-line, '00 B5 S4, '07 GSXR, and my uncle totaled my 2011 S4. The Denali truck has the LS1 6.0 V8 with a cold air intake and an HD2 high performance shift kit. The Escalade is stock. There are some cosmetic upgrades to the A8L, namely aluminum side mirrors, a Hofele S8 facelift, rear valence w/ quad sport exhaust, and a K&N drop-in. The RS4 has an ECS H-Pipe, Stasis Coilovers, K&N drop-in, window tint and some cosmetic lighting touch-ups as well. I have a LOT to learn as far as mods and racing. I have yet to ever track any vehicle of mine but am looking forward to it, hoping to this summer. My goals for my cars are to sell the Denali truck, let the girl DD the Escalade, continue to take the A8L on vacation trips, and drive the heck out of the RS4. Looking forward to your suggestions. And pics... http://i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc375/adamhall77/image_zps7739eea7.jpg http://i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc375/adamhall77/IMG_1247_zps58cbec47.png http://i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc375/adamhall77/Q7and996_zps96ae50ca.jpg http://i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc375/adamhall77/photo27_zpsf0e0ecd7.jpg http://i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc375/adamhall77/2011S4wreck2_zps5b797b95.jpg http://i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc375/adamhall77/photo56_zps53299559.jpg7 points

Every time I go to frickers, my ass explodes. And sometimes my mouth. That place is hell. What's all this about clubs? I'm in one. Or so I think. It was ten years ago, and the password to the tree house was boobies.5 points

A few facts for you. At our gun store, no one has ever traded in a Glock or MP for an XD or XDM. Numerous people have traded their XD and XDM for a Glock or MP. No one has ever brought back a Glock or MP because they didn't like it. 2 XD's have been returned and an XDM is coming back this week. People that depend on their pistol with their life, Police, Military, Private Security, Criminals, HipHop Artists, NBA players ect 87% choose Glock or MP. Tupac, Biggie, Kennedy, Lincoln, they all carried XD. Look where they're at4 points

Stereotypes are there for a reason. Because they are 99% of the time true. Just because you're a 1%er. Doesn't mean the other 99% don't suck.2 points

Bingo!!! Hell the only reason I was even in a fraternity in college was because we were completely dysfunctional and ended up really just being a bunch of dudes that partied all the damn time. The only person that tells me what to do is myself.... ....and sometimes the girlfriend2 points

I have nothing against clubs it's the squids that come on here and 2 posts in they are wanting to start a club or the idiots I see posting on craigslist wanting to start a club. I have a problem with authority and really dislike rules so no way I'd ever consider joining a club.2 points

Practice what ya preach, Bud. Not all HD riders are shitbags and not all sport bike riders hang out Quaker Steak. Get over yourself.2 points

Yea all the shit you have to do or pledge to or what ever to be in MC is dumb. Harley only club is also dumb, why discriminate on type of ride, Ill ride with a HD, Honda, Triumph, what ever. If you can have a group of people ride what you want, when you want, how you want and not have to jump through hoops to be a part of that's where ill be, wait a min I'm already here. Its about the quality of the people not the "status" of the club or your "place" there in. Most of the HD stereo types I don't like are weekend poker running, bar hopping, drunk driving soccer moms and dads that think they are bad asses just because they "own" a HD with shiney stuff that sits in a parking lot 90% of the time. But to each their own I guess.2 points

Dude, you have 10 posts... untwist your panties... Some people here do take pot shots at "biker gangs"... not all of us. In fact, some people here belong to a mc club, or 2 or 3. But it sounds like you agree with most of what is said about them, and you found one of the rare clubs that is an exception to the rule. Personally I'd never join a riding club that had all of that bullshit structure because I just find it utterly stupid. On the rare occasion that I ride as a part of a group, we decide who leads the ride, and the order of the group based on who knows the roads and the route best, and the skill of the riders in the group, not based on what patch you happen to wear.2 points

They may be members of multiple Ride Clubs. But never multiple MCs there is no cross dressing EVER. If you can pay your dues and pay for your patch that day they are a ride club it takes years to earn your patch in and MC there is also a difference in the back patches ride clubs will never have 3 Patches with upper and lower rockers or have a small square with MC in it or a 1% patch on their vest unless they want trouble. H.O.G and the ALR are some ride clubs.1 point

I'm not saying it doesn't exist to some extent, but it certainly isn't the Blue Line Code Of Silence everyone thinks it is. I'm not saying I wouldn't give an officer a break, but I will give just about everyone a break. I hate writing tickets because times are hard enough as it is. Think about someone who is barely scraping by day to day then throw in a $140 ticket on top of it. Officers aren't doing anything other than making life that much more difficult for them. I write tickets when my hands are tied but not if I don't have to.1 point

Most stereotypes they are rooted in reality and the law of averages...and most of what you posted points more towards you being a typical Harley rider than the exception. Oh, and clubs are for insecure boys who need acceptance. Thanks for playing.1 point

I ride for leisure. I don't need a club or group to ride with or make me feel special. I haven't gotten many miles on my bike due to my schedule and the weather. I'm on the I could care less what you think club, can I get a cookie now? Oh and I'm definitely not a biker, just a guy who rides a motorcycle occasionally for fun, and I'm happy with that. If you are happy in who you are, why do you care what anybody else thinks???? Grow up!1 point

I have a few of those same friends from college. Lazy-ass pot-heads making risky decisions and landing squarely on top. Bastards. I don't have that entrepreneurial lust. I'm the guy who does what he's told and hopes to last. To the op.... That sucks, but paying your dues is a part if climbing any organization.1 point

I'm well past the age of giving a shit what other's think much less wanting to "belong" to any kind of a club or group of riders.1 point

what about the fact none of them were wearing seatbelts? what about the driver not having a license? what about driver inexperience? was alcohol involved (still waiting to see)? now they're reporting the car was stolen too... to say that SPEED killed them is extremely short-sighted and is quite disingenuous. the fact is, speed is rarely a PRIMARY cause of crashes. it can contribute sure, but its not a PRIMARY cause. its usually secondary or even tertiary. the NHTSB did a crash causation survey of crashes that took place betwen 2005 and 2007, and found that "travelling too fast for conditions" was only about 5% of critical pre crash events. more significant factors were driving off the road (22%) or crossing the center line (11%). when they determined driver error was the primary cause of the crash, they looked into what was the critical reason behind the driver error. distraction/not paying attention was 41% of the errors. 10% was crappy driving skills, either freezing up or overcompenstaing. 8% were asleep, or having a heart attack. 8% were for driving too fast for conditions, 5% driving too fast on a curve. a 2003 virginia study found similar results, that DISTRACTIONS are a primary cause of crashes MUCH more than speed alone. not to say that speed can't contribute. it definitely can. but again, its not the primary cause. it's secondary or tertiary. but somehow they love to tell us SPEED KILLS. the truth is, not paying attention kills more than speed does. you can read the NHTSA study and results here: http://www-nrd.nhtsa.dot.gov/Pubs/811059.PDF1 point

In all seriousness...as long as you don't interfere with my riding, I really don't care how you ride. Different people are attracted to motorcycles for different reasons. That's OK. I'll bash HD riders or squids for comedy value, but deep down I genuinely don't give a rats ass. What's the point of this thread again?1 point

I thought this was a gun forum with some people that occasionally ride motorcycles?1 point

Yeah, to each there own. I's just mad cause I've purposely managed to avoid all videos, and you go and put it in your sig. So now I must call you names! You crotch sniffing, nut licking, cum swallowing, ho bag!! There, I feel better now!1 point

Not one of my friends that are in MC clubs are posers or losers and if you think I don't know the difference you are sadly mistaken. If your understanding of MC clubs is a show you might need to take the cock out of your mouth and quit thinking it gave you some insight, anymore than "Cops" shows you how real LE is. I have good lifelong friends that are LE and members of MC clubs none of them are losers. There are dumbasses in both organizations to be sure but it certainly doesn't define the whole group. I would never belong to either group because they are both too organized and have way too many rules that I seem to have no ability or desire to follow.1 point

If you need a club to motivate you to ride then go join a club. If you need leather jacket and patches to feel special then get them. It's when you feel the club and patches give you more rights than someone else that you go wrong.1 point

Thanks... uncle wanted to buy it from me after his divorce. I let him borrow it for the weekend. He got drunk on the golf course and ended up in the hospital. Why he tried to drive is beyond me. I am just glad hes alive as you can see. Anywho, its my understanding that more pics is a good thing. When that happens it is to raise money for a charity they take donations and buy or get a cheap bike. It’s kind of like when you go to one of those events where you beat up a jap car with a sledgehammer for a buck a swing. I went to many of the rallies over a 10year period with my KZ 1000 and never had any problems or worries. I see there are a lot of misconceptions about MCs you never hear about anything they do good only the bad.-1 points
