Yesterday, I rode the entire route for the Epic Ride. This was my second time riding the "555".It was reinforced in my mind that Rt 555 can teach you to slow it down, the easy way, or the hard way. I prefer the easy way. This road is not marked in the usual way. Other roads with a curve marked for 35 mph can be usually be enjoyed at 45 or 50 mph, but not this one. If it says 20 mph, approach it as if it really means 15 mph. The curves are sharp, very sharp, 90° in many places. Many curves will catch you off guard. You will find yourself topping a hill, with a good bit of speed, only to discover that in the very instant it comes into view, a curve, demanding immediate response, will suddenly make you an offer you can't refuse. Don't be caught off guard. Tone down your speed and your ego on the 555. Nice cornering skills should be used with a much lower speed than what you like to ride through Hocking Hills. I came into a few curves a little hotter than I should have, and this is the experience I am speaking with now. I found myself reacting quickly to surprises that came uninvited. I want you to come away unscratched, also. As for gravel.....I saw it mostly at intersections with side roads. I never saw any that I thought would be a problem, unless you were riding right on the very edge and came upon it at an intersection. ~ JackFlash :biker: .

I have what we call ICE badges for sale at my shop. Jess did not have one,but it makes it better in this type of crash. They are $2 each and I had a a charity make them. Its so amazing how much of a impact this can make it a crazy time like this. Please make sure you'r fellow riders can reach your loved ones. It feels so horrible to not tell them they may have to come see their loved ones for the last time. I just want to be able to connect their most important people. Crashing is horrible.....

Really? I saw one clown who was basically a TV Personality reading questions from a script that he clearly has never though through even one step forward. He quoted that the cop tried to disarm him after he said "Does it matter Officer? Am I breaking the law?" Because this jack ass is freakin out the whole video while the officer is keeping fairly calm. and he actually did break the law as soon as the officer made it a legal stop and began trying to detain him he needed to notify the officer that he had a CHL and was carrying. Jresse, Didn't get much of a chance to talk with you. An FZ6 is a capable machine and a solid all arround bike (sporty, commuter, sport tourer, etc). When riding in the corners (especially blind corners) there are some easy things you can do to increase your comfort zone. 1. Point your head and shoulders in the direction of the corner, 2. Look as far through the corner as possible, just by doing this you'll be surprised how much more time you'll have should you encounter an obstacle mid-corner. Simple things like that will make you a smoother, safer and quicker (if that's what you wish) rider.

I got a parking meter ticket yesterday in grandview on my bike from the fat ass rent a cop wanna be walking around. Question is, do I necessarily have to pay it? I am registered and licensed in Virginia NOT Ohio. My friend was telling me the only thing they do in Ohio is not let you renew your registration? He said he has parking tickets from Chicago that be never paid. Its only 25 bucks and I don't really give a fuck.
