Hi everyone, My name is Andrew and I live up north in Marion. I own a 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX TR (obsidian black with tan leather interior). This is my 2nd Subie... I fell in love with these cars after my 99' RS. I have several mods on my car... just to list a few: - 3" turbo back exhaust (catless dp) - TurboXS BOV - nameless CAI w/ K&N filter - VF39 turbo - ECU reflash (not the greatest tune and needs update flash) - 2004 non-DCCD Suretrak 6 speed swap which includes R180 rearend (3.90 ratio) and full Brembo brakes set. - cosmetic stuff like HID kit, tail light tint, window tint, etc. I also own a 97' Nissan hardbody truck as well that was fairly nice condition until some woman decided to use the back of my truck to stop her car a few weeks ago. So now I'm about to own it as a salvage title and need to some repairs. I ride motorcycles as well and presently own a 2001 Honda CBR 929 RR. I purchased that as a gift to myself after a separation from my ex-wife since I "wasn't allowed to own one" during my marriage. I'm sure I met some of you at Mid Ohio on Monday. I want to personally thank Jon (orangedot3083) for the instructions during track day. Not to mention the butthole puckering ride alongs I encountered in his 04' STi. I have to say, that day was one of the best days of my life. Austin also gave me a rather terrifying ride during the down pour in his Miata so thank you for that as well. I will try and post some pix of my rides on here shortly. Thanks5 points

I sent mine to Spencer at Great Day to Ride and like it for the price. Definitely beats stock and beat paying $300 for a Corbin1 point

Whenever I see a bike for sale with those aftermarket fairings, I assume it has been wrecked. Unless the owner still has the OEM fairings.1 point

When I was maybe 20, I did a fuel pump of a buddy's piece of shit dodge fury. After the job it was time to get it started and it was having trouble pumping the fuel on just the starter motor. To avoid killing his battery I decided to pour gas directly into the top of the carb, which made the engine run great, till it backfired through the carb and caught it and all the spilt gas on the top of the motor ablaze. He ran to get something to extinguish the growing flames with and returned with patio furniture chair cushions. Oddly, they turned out to be highly flamable as well. At this point in time a cyclist happened upon us and withou asking I relieved him of his water bottle and poured it on the now fully engulfed engine. The effect was non existant. Here comes my buddy at a full run with the garden hose which he had forgotten to fully un-ravel. Ten feet from the street he runs out of slack and is promptly slammed on the ground by momentum and gravity. He finally gets the hose over and we put his car out. For shits and giggles I tell him to try the motor again. Fucking thing starts right up and he gave me a lift home. A week later the frame broke just behind the motor cradle and he scrapped it for beer money.1 point

I believe I found your problem. Why would you go for a ride on that shitty freeway? It's a sportbike, take it to the fun roads and leave the flip flops at home. Sitting on your bike for an hour on a freeway without changing your body position (like you would on twisties) will make your ass numb no matter what seat you put on it.1 point

It makes zero difference where you go if you are just running it. $50 doesn't get you a tune. Will show the curve and any issues, but it goes from there. My suggestion is to hook up with DTM Brian as he has the knowledge, tuning link and is capable of tuning better than most. That knowledge and ability will cost you close to $300 or more. And, don't get hung up on numbers. Its the curve that is the important part. Look at the base run and the curve and if the tune takes out the roughness and increases certain deficiencies, who gives a shit about what power it makes? Most likely, the power gains will be seen in the tuned vs. base line. If one dyno reads higher than another, it has zero input into the way the bike is really making power and how well. Base line to tuned. Look at that difference and don't worry about peak power...1 point
