Hi everyone, My name is Andrew and I live up north in Marion. I own a 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX TR (obsidian black with tan leather interior). This is my 2nd Subie... I fell in love with these cars after my 99' RS. I have several mods on my car... just to list a few: - 3" turbo back exhaust (catless dp) - TurboXS BOV - nameless CAI w/ K&N filter - VF39 turbo - ECU reflash (not the greatest tune and needs update flash) - 2004 non-DCCD Suretrak 6 speed swap which includes R180 rearend (3.90 ratio) and full Brembo brakes set. - cosmetic stuff like HID kit, tail light tint, window tint, etc. I also own a 97' Nissan hardbody truck as well that was fairly nice condition until some woman decided to use the back of my truck to stop her car a few weeks ago. So now I'm about to own it as a salvage title and need to some repairs. I ride motorcycles as well and presently own a 2001 Honda CBR 929 RR. I purchased that as a gift to myself after a separation from my ex-wife since I "wasn't allowed to own one" during my marriage. I'm sure I met some of you at Mid Ohio on Monday. I want to personally thank Jon (orangedot3083) for the instructions during track day. Not to mention the butthole puckering ride alongs I encountered in his 04' STi. I have to say, that day was one of the best days of my life. Austin also gave me a rather terrifying ride during the down pour in his Miata so thank you for that as well. I will try and post some pix of my rides on here shortly. Thanks5 points

Some of you know I have been writing a blog for about 6-7 months now. Since that time it has grown pretty big compared to what I ever guessed it would have. I since then I was picked up by Shooterslegion.com initially to write news and media for them but with too much already on my plate they moved me back to a smaller contributer role and a site moderator. So I have been busy trying to get myself inserted into the firearms industry. Lately I have noticed a ton of people going to the range to "train" when really they weren't doing anything but putting holes in paper. I realized i had to sit down and put out there the difference between just Shooting and Training. So far I have had some good feedback and people really enjoyed the suggestions and tips I laid out that has helped me improve ten fold from where I started. I wanted to bring it here to you guys also. It turned out they it was just too long for one article so I divided it up into three parts. I hope you enjoy them and let me know if you try it and if it works for you. Part one: http://absolutebsblog.com/2013/06/10/your-evolution-of-training/ Part two: http://absolutebsblog.com/2013/06/11/your-evolution-of-training-part-2/ Part three: http://absolutebsblog.com/2013/06/12/your-evolution-of-training-part-3/ You can like my blog on Facebook or subscribe to receive updates by email if you want to stay up on what I will be covering in the future. I normally don't agree with anything Casper says, just on principal. But Dyno Brian is the man. I drove from Cleveland to Columbus just to have him do my bike. He fixed a multitude of problems...pinging in hot weather at highway speed. Very flat roll on through mid range. Over rich idle that you could f'ing smell at a light. I paid something like 200-250 or so for him to do it. But it depends on the bike...dual exhaust vs single exhaust...what PCI you have....talk to him but that is the range it will be in. The 50 dollar thing is fine if you want to see your curve and your peak HP and stuff. But that is all you will get from anyone...just the pull and the readout. Brian can certainly do that for you too.1 point

Had a great night out on the tractor cutting grass watching the storms build and roll through north of us. Huge thunderheads and great light show. We got some wind and rain at some point during the night, i woke up for about 30 seconds. The bonus for the night was that I was finally able to shoot 2 of the 3 skunks living in our barn.1 point

Whenever I see a bike for sale with those aftermarket fairings, I assume it has been wrecked. Unless the owner still has the OEM fairings.1 point

Ryan I'll be there this weekend if nothing else to pick up that motor. Engine is out of commision apparently when they dropped the motor and broke the valve cover and cam chain guide they cracked a link in the cam chain that let loose sometime during Nelson and the broken link wore through the guide material and the metal of the guide. Glad I investigated further I would have grenaded it for sure this weekend. So.......once I get the engine from you I will be on engine #3 for the season whoopeee!1 point

When I was maybe 20, I did a fuel pump of a buddy's piece of shit dodge fury. After the job it was time to get it started and it was having trouble pumping the fuel on just the starter motor. To avoid killing his battery I decided to pour gas directly into the top of the carb, which made the engine run great, till it backfired through the carb and caught it and all the spilt gas on the top of the motor ablaze. He ran to get something to extinguish the growing flames with and returned with patio furniture chair cushions. Oddly, they turned out to be highly flamable as well. At this point in time a cyclist happened upon us and withou asking I relieved him of his water bottle and poured it on the now fully engulfed engine. The effect was non existant. Here comes my buddy at a full run with the garden hose which he had forgotten to fully un-ravel. Ten feet from the street he runs out of slack and is promptly slammed on the ground by momentum and gravity. He finally gets the hose over and we put his car out. For shits and giggles I tell him to try the motor again. Fucking thing starts right up and he gave me a lift home. A week later the frame broke just behind the motor cradle and he scrapped it for beer money.1 point

I believe I found your problem. Why would you go for a ride on that shitty freeway? It's a sportbike, take it to the fun roads and leave the flip flops at home. Sitting on your bike for an hour on a freeway without changing your body position (like you would on twisties) will make your ass numb no matter what seat you put on it.1 point
