  7. I wanted to thank all my OR / FB peeps for voting for my friends daughter in the IP ride to work photo contest. She's a great kid and works hard and is a dandy little rider too. She's headed down Thursday to claim her $25 gift card and wants to buy a tail or tank bag with it. Thanks again guys and gals you made her week.

  8. We're giving away five track days courtesy of Sportbike Track Time. Entering is easy. Post in this thread AND retweet the below tweet and/or share the below Facebook post. That's it. Five winners will be randomly selected. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151751176519276&set=a.10150378730364276.406158.123486174275&type=1&relevant_count=1 Typical legal stuff here: Track days are dangerous. Motorcycles are dangerous. You probably shouldn't ride them. Ohio Riders, LLC (and/or it's owners, blah blah blah) cannot be held liable for anything (like, but not limited to, accidents, stupidity, death, etc). As with all activities on this forum, accepting and participating in any event is at your own risk. Non-transferable. Rain or shine. Blah blah blah.

  11. Turned 60,000 on the odometer today on the way into work. Almost got it broke in. On a sad note, the 1023 miles I did on the freeway back from NOLA sure did flatten the center of the rear tire. Not a big deal, just annoying.

  14. some helmets are quieter than others for sure, but mostly its the bike your riding, some have alot of air protection, some have little, some have more buffeting than others, also depends on the windscreen your running if one at all. seating position, height of the rider, etc. im a big shoei fan, and had a RF1000 for a few years, and the past 2 years i have been wearing the RF1100, i think they are pretty quiet, but more so they are comfortable. but going from one bike to the next, the windnoise differs.

  21. Yes, you are crazy. I have absolutely nothing for when emergencies happen...no water, no food, no spare gas for a 26Kw generator.....but I have a $hitload of guns and ammunition to protect my home and family. It is more crazy to let people know what you have stockpiled, so that when the SHTF, more people will know where "stuff" is being stored....

  22. I think it's just a tough price point. Generally, over $4-$5k is a financing venture. Once you've decided to finance $8k, dealerships usually have access to better terms and make it easier. Your pricing is good, don't get me wrong.

  35. Last week I purchased a set of conti-motions from Iron pony. My third set of these. I've always been happy with them. This set not so much. I had them mounted and balanced initially by dustin34xx(i dont remember his numbers). I had a shake from 30-60 mph. I pulled them, and since he was back in TN, I had another friend of mine throw them on his balancer and check the balancing. Everything was fine. Dustins work was good, as it always is. I checked my head bearings, swing arm bushings, and anything else that may have some play thats not supposed to. So I called Iron Pony and spoke to a fellow named Jeff in parts. He was very helpful. I explained to him about going to deals gap on thursday, and I needed a to exchange my front tire, due to this shake. He agreed to do so. AWESOME! I decided to do some google research and discovered I'm not the only one, who has had similar shake issues. I conversed with granda080, issacspappa, and hoblick yesterday on the situation. I decided to buy a new set of tires all together. I don't have time to get a second bum tire..... I went to hoblicks at 10am, this morning and found him working away in the garage. He dismounted the conti-motions and off to Iron Pony I went. I met with a Derek at I.P and explained to him my situation and what I had researched and posed the proposition of allowing to return the front and rear tire, and give me store credit toward another set of tires. I told him I wanted the Pirelli Angel STs. He checked the computer and didn't have the rear, but he had both in the new GT. He agreed to make the swap for me. I paid the difference of the two sets of tires( 180$) grabbed my tires and my free T shirt, off to Hoblicks I go! I returned to Hoblicks, and he mounted and balanced the new tires. I paid him and off I went. I came home mounted them up and took off to run some errands. No shake, no wobble, nothing. Just a nice smooth ride. I just wanted to take a moment to thank Hoblick, and Iron Pony for going above and beyond. I will rest easy knowing I have a solid set of tires now. Sorry for the long winded post, but its rare to find good customer service these days, and You guys made my week. HUGE PROPS!

  38. My dumb ass decided it was a good idea to take my motorcycle downtown to go to a bar since parking is a bitch down there. Since I was in a "I want peni" mood I wore heels and a dress. My oh shit moment came when I left the bar and was trying to take 4th north but it was under construction so it put me on 670 to 71. My very cold very exposed ass was very puckered.
