I find this thread highly entertaining but feel much dumber for reading thou. BTW, thou isn't a word. Though is. FZ1 is a shit bike and won't look cool at Taco Bell on Saturday night. You NEED a 178hp R1. How else are the ladies gonna know how tiny your cock is?3 points

So I just wanted to post this here and maybe help motivate some others with it. I started my weight loss journey January 1st as the dreadful "I will lose weight this year". . . . and for the first in my adult life I actually stuck to it and just kept going. All I've done is workout 5-6 times a week and eat right. I still have a ways to go. I'm gonna start a CrossFit program and start lifting now. . . my ultimate goal is to build up to strongman stuff. We'll see. Anyway, if anyone could recommend a good CrossFit program or would want to start lifting with me, hit me up! http://i.imgur.com/Uq3eWxb.jpg http://i.imgur.com/wtAPNRd.jpg1 point

You need nitrous on your SV that will solve the acceleration problem1 point

Not a good track bike, sorry. Brakes, handling, tire choices and parts availability make it a bad choice for a track bike. And if the clutch is not working properly it has no business on a track, if your bike is not in perfect working order don't even think about a track day1 point

fuck I wish I wasn't footing the bill for all these wedding planning deposits. These would be fun cheap options to get into the FZ1 without having to get rid of my VFR http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/3921579520.html http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/3897540800.html1 point

umm yeah about that. its a 600cc inline 104 hp the SV is a 650 twin 74 hp there is a very noticeable difference in power1 point

You don't listen very well. You said you wanted more acceleration in a straight line, so I suggested some options to give you that without being cramped up on an r1 or supersport. Just because it has 1000ccs doesn't mean it's a supersport... You already ride a naked 600, not sure why you would spend 7k to switch to a different naked 600 that doesn't offer much more power than what you're on. I listed bikes that fit the criteria you asked for, fast in a straight line, race bike handling, all day comfort... An r1 doesn't fit that mold, that's why it's been turned down If you posted "I want a super bike that I don't plan to ride for more than an hour at a time"... Then maybe more people would be on board with an r1 Buy whatever floats your boat... Just giving you suggestions1 point

The street triple is nice.. I doubt he ran 10.5 quarter on it though.. They're not too much faster than your sv in a straight line... Look for a z1000, cb1000r, fz1, ninja 1000 (not zx10), b king, speed triple, 990 super duke... There's a few to get you started The street triple you posted looks very nice and would be an awesome step up from the sv, but I don't think it's exactly what you're looking for1 point

Isn't this akin to trying to fix up an 85 Honda Accord? I can see "The heat shield bolts are rusted into the manifold but I want everything to be original. What should I do?" It's just a Magna. Grind and weld already and get back riding.1 point

My $.02, grind and weld, nobody cares if the nuts are oem and its not a museum piece. I understand you want to preserve as much original equipment as possible but those look too far gone and I'm with anden on buggering up the threads worse with a bottom tap and not having enough room in the blind hole for a taper tap. A form tap might work if you can get the old material out but idk. Also a jackass machinist.1 point

Fuck that.. Over a hundred dollars to change oil and check some torque specs? Just change it yourself and go through owners manual and manually perform the rest of 600 mi service... Just broke 600 on mine, did oil Saturday night and next weekend I'll be going and double checking all the torque specs recommended in the 600mi service... I just can't justify spending over a hundred dollars on a glorified motorcycle oil change1 point

If he's asking $7k firm, he's going to have plenty of time to wash it over and over...(from a former owner of 3 Buells)1 point

Please point out where I said DV is funny. Get the stick out of your ass and don't take everything you read to be so serious. People always try and find an issue with everything now-a-days, not my problem you think it means something it probably doesn't..Can't please everyone. Exactly. If something can be taken out of context then it will be and people will get bent out of shape over it.1 point

I figured he meant in the bedroom too... stop over analyzing everything, you take the "fun" out of "funny picture thread"1 point

Update So my good friend Greg, the gergwheel, whom I am forever in debt to, helped me get the car over to his lift to work on Max. So far we have: Replaced the inner and outer tie rods, installed Moog ball joints, new struts, caster camber plates and the 5 lug swap is complete on the front. We also installed rear shocks, took down the very stock, old exhaust (it fell off practically), installed poly bushings on the transmission and pulled the drive shaft. Next up to install the aluminum driveshaft, strut brace, rear sway bar, axles and distributor. Then Max should kick some ass at my next Mid Ohio/Nelson Ledges visit. I'll have pictures next time I visit.-1 points

So I've never had a need for a proper pair of dress shoes, I've bought a few (40$)cheap pairs recently and hate them all. I want something I won't hate. Something comfy and won't fall apart. Any suggestions?-1 points
